• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone used mirror extensions for towing?
It looks like Cipa custom fit is not available yet.

Just looking for the best option.

Im curious to know as well what people are using out there. I was hoping to get away without using clip on towing mirrors but my travel trailer is 92" wide and the Telly is 78.5 inches wide with the side mirrors folded in and 89 inches with them out. Not sure how that will work out.

Anyone find any mirrors yet?20210204_145813.webp

Nice set up Tazzy, what TT unit do you have there? I’m still on the hunt and will post if I find something
It's a kodiak cub 177rb. We have to pack it's just right to keep the weights in check. Basically, we bring bare minimum, nothin in the back of the Telluride, except the 2nd row. Ordered lithium batteries to install 6 inches behind the tire inside the dinnette seat. Also, going to move the propane tanks back 9 inches to where batteries were (not much, but every pound helps). Paper towels and tissue gets stored in the outside front bins. Kinda lame, but I want to be safe.

If I had to do over, get a smaller trailer, or one with less tongue weight. It's just hard to find light weight ones for a 6' 4.5" tall guy. The fiberglass ones are all 6'1". I really like the Escape trailers, but again, just too short. If I was 6' or less, I'd get the Escape trailer, more updated than the againg Scamp trailers...IMHO.

We choose this trailer since it has no slide out (less maintenance/problems/weight) and that it's nearly 6'5" inside, except for the ac which dips down. I fit through the door jams and don't hit my head on the lights; just the AC. It also has 52 gallons fresh water, which is huge for a small trailer.

Right on, yes, Im in a similar boat, I have a Geo Pro 19BH on order which is 3200lb dry so I will need to be conscious of the weight. I told my wife nothing added unless its weighed haha. I had similar thoughts on the batteries, so lithium are you ok to move inside (ie no off gassing)? Even thought about fibreglass propane tanks although that does pretty much nothing. Curious what your unit dry weight is and tongue weight? 52 gallons fresh is a good size tank for sure. Do you use a WDH?

Forgot to ask, did you find you needed some clip on mirrors with your 177Rb?

I've created a new thread so as to not hijack this one.

I did not. It appears we'll have to go with generic ones for now until a good one comes along. Now, to find the best generic ones....
