New update on 2022's as of 05-21

Will keep you all posted as we know information..

Looks like we are one step closer.

Got a memo today saying all unfilled 2021 Telluride Order Request(In Kdealer) are going to be deleted.

This does not effect people whose orders are in KFOS for 2021's and already have ETA's.

This indicates 2022 information is about to be released.

We as dealers will need to purify our list(call all clients that have orders pending to see if they are still wanting Telluride.)

For those that are still valid and waiting we will re-enter as 22 Tellurides and adjust if clients are wanting to change color, options, etc..

WE will enter these FIFO to keep clients who have waited the longest as priority.



This is a good sign that ball is moving in right direction.

Will update as mentioned before, as news comes.



Below are some of the changes for 2022 models.

What's New​

All trims feature revised Kia badging

The Nightfall Edition has redesigned emblems and wheel caps

The LX has a Gloss Black Front Grille with Chrome Trim. S, EX, and SX have the Gloss Black Front Grille with Satin Chrome Trim

The 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split-screen functionality is now standard on all trims

All trims now have standard navigation*

Dual-zone automatic temperature control and rear automatic temperature control are now standard on all trims

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve* (NSCC-C) and Highway Driving Assist* (HDA) are now standard across the board

The S trim now comes standard with a wireless phone charger*

EX Premium has High Beam Assist* (Another change after reviewing material)

Appears LX and S models will not have 2nd and 3rd row usb ports according to material(This could change on final update)

No date given but looks like they already took away ability to enter in new 2021 orders.. so I would imagine we are dangerously close to 2022 information being released.

I don’t want to sound like an idiot but I ordered mine on 4/26 and haven’t heard anything from my Dealership. I called Monday and they said my order hasn’t been picked up yet. I ordered the SX Prestige in Glacial White Pearl with the “hurry up and wait“ Dune Brown interior, tow and NFE. I was told when I ordered it that it would be 12 to 16 weeks but higher end models come in sooner. The only thing the Dealer told me was that I had a Model Code of J4482 and the Option Group was a 47.
s are you saying they’ll be contacting me to reorder a 2022, or will I be getting a 2022 instead of a 2021? Any help would be appreciated.

If you ordered 04/26 than your will more than likely be getting a 2022.

Once changes are released on the 2022 model and Kia allows the ability for us to enter/transfer 2022 orders, than dealers will be contacting anyone with pending orders.

We will see if you would like to edit your order with any changes that 2022 may offer.

If this is true, I'm thinking of deleting nightfall from my Dark Moss SX order. The main reason I want nightfall is for black wheels and grill ...

Yeah, I couldn’t tell if it was legit or another random speculation. I guess the price point is what we will be curious about especially considering nothing changes with the upper model.
My hope is that less people go with their SXPs so mine doesn’t take as long to get... selfish thoughts

It's happening......

I like the idea that nightfall trim gets it's own emblem - I think. Like different than the regular Kia emblem more than just a blacked out version? Something like what VW did with the Wolfsberg edition?

Will that 10.25 screen have wireless carplay/auto?

Could there be more changes to come, or is this it? SX/SXP doesn't get anything new but a color change on the grill for non-nightfall.

Seems like some nice upgrades on the lower trim levels with the climate control, navigation, cruise/assist, infotainment screen.

HDA is on the EX and SX on 2021's. NSCC-C is new for 2022's.

I can not speak for all stores but we have one person who manages all orders and does not sell the Tellurides.. So he has everyone on a backup file just incase anything happens with Kia's portal side..

Most dealers should be organized and will have everyone in order and will transfer everyone in said order..

That being said there are always exceptions to the rule....

I would recommend everyone with pending orders reach out to their sales consultant and just make sure structure is in place for the calendar change over...
