Somewhere on this forum, I saw were we could check failcat.com for vehicle delivery. I've checked a few times, and apparently, it's not fool-proof, or I'm not doing it right (which could easily be the case). Granted, I can't get a VIN number out of my dealer, but they say it was ordered in late May, and is expected much sooner than the 3 month window I was warned about initially.

I just emailed the dealer yesterday, and got the latest note above. I've requested the VIN number again. Anything else I can do to see what's happening?

Who's your dealer and what is your build? All you do is hope the VIN shows up in failcat for your car. It usually shows up about a month before delivery, so you're still perhaps a bit early.

Failcat does not show anything about delivery. All that it shows is when the Monroney sticker was created. That is the same time the VIN is generated. This happens when it goes into paint. Without any further details, no one here will be able to help you.

My dealer is Kia of Fort Worth, zip code 76116. My build is a 2022 Ex with Ex Prem pkg. I'm told above the VIN isn't available till it goes in to paint. Still, I find it interesting, that on 6/16, the dealer told me my car could come as early as the week of 6/21; however, it didn't show. When I checked again yesterday, he only said it thought it was coming that quickly as my vehicle specs matched one coming that soon. I'm beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable, though I'm overly concerned yet.

@StephenCantrelle Is it normal for the ETA to change several times? Wondering how concerned I should be that it might be a while before delivery. We listed our car for sale with the first ETA and now we have been pushed back 3 times, and our car is being sold this week. Hope we don’t get our date pushed back again.

There are a lot of cars sent to your dealer. Go into failcat and put TX071 in the search field for dealers.

Like @ksyrah says, enter your dealer number TX071 (Moritz Kia), then sort by powertrain (EX V6 AWD or EX V6 FWD) and add PRE in the "options" column. Looks like GWP/gray FWD was the last one produced on 7/3. It sounds like your dealer is trying to match an incoming unassigned order, hopefully they actually submitted your order into Kdealer. Ask for an internal order number or a screenshot of the Kdealer entry.

It is very unlikely you would get a VIN less than a month after order entry. There's a reason people are waiting for 4-6 months on average.
