• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What have you done / plan to do to your Telly?

Thank you! Im very happy with how it turned out. I want to tint my taillights but after doing that on my last car I got pulled over all the time lol.
I will be painting the exhaust tips here soon.

agreed on the tail lights. I did a light tint on them to try and avoid it. you’re going to love the exhaust once it’s done. I did 3 coats of gloss black engine spray paint. Turned out amazing. Enjoy!

I agree painting them would be best, however, I wrapped my own door handles and mirror caps on my F150 four years ago and have no signs of wear and tear anywhere. Shockingly, they still look perfect with heavy use.
Sounds like I should have come to you!

I have my handles wrapped and have had them for over a year. No signs of is peeling or anything. Just make sure your wrap guy is good and uses high quality material.

I actually have all the chrome/silver wrapped from top to bottom and side to side. It’s been through the extreme AZ heat, off roading, power washed and etc and not even a corner is lifting.

lol, I just ordered some vinyl and watched some how to youtube tutorials. Just got lucky my first time ever trying it. Honestly, it's a way easier process than I thought it would be. Worse case, when you DIY, you're out a few bucks on vinyl if it fails.

You can peel and adjust the vinyl if you mess up. Just reheat and it smooths out.

Another mod added to my sign off below. I went with the Snailfly upgraded all black roof rack bars and I installed them yesterday. Outstanding fit, good quality, key lockable at all four posts, and I’m pleased that they look so sharp. Cross country planned trips down the road made these a necessity.

Tinted front two windows this morning...pics to come once the rain stops. Got screen protector on order from Amazon (not sure it's truly necessary, but it's $10 so why not). Also got the EZ-pass silicone cover on the way, can't wait to hide that eye sore.

Plan of the day was also to paint the exhaust tips, but I'm not sure anymore....I like Boss Moss/Nightfall, but I also don't mind a little chrome showing up in places. I think the tips being black will make it a little too dark in the rear....

I keep putting off painting the tips. Mine are developing an exhaust patina. My procrastination may be paying off. 😆

They are from the Air Lift Company. They are called AirLift1000. I had a local shop order and install them.

I’m curious now that you have the air helper bags, I’ve see you keep the 31” full sized spare underneath when normal driving. But when overlanding you hang it off the hitch. How well do you the airlift bags do in either scenario in the suspension? Do you think they overcome enough to justify not getting new aftermarket shocks?

I just need them to help compensate for the sag I get when I am fully loaded up for either road trips or overlanding to a camp site. I don’t do anything crazy just mostly fire roads, trails and dirty.

I am not aware of any aftermarket shocks or suspension for the telluride unless you found something I didn’t.

I’m going to try to go camping this weekend with my wheel carrier tent and full gear so I’ll try to remember to take some before and after pics.

new to the forums here but long time lurker, this is what i've done and planning on doing on my bought out lease 2020 LX

20x8.5 vossen sv3 matte black squared +35
replaced all interior light with LED
Led H/L beam
all weather mats OEM
mesh screens lower bumper
does 1 car seat and a booster count? lol
rear security cargo cover (not oem)

plan on doing
Yakima naked roof setup (have everything but baseline towers are always OOS)
Curt 2"hitch (have not installed waiting for OEM hitch cover and harness)
LED tail lights
Front SX or EXP LED conversion maybe still not deciding on orange vs white. IMHO the white actually looks a bit better
Tacsport or blackhorse running boards ]
front OEM style fog lamps and front LED light bar
some kind of exhaust either single axle back delete or maybe a magnaflow or the borla axle back
K&N maybe?
oil catch can maybe depending on how the 50k or sooner service looks like probably have my mechanic stick a scope down into the intake runners to see if theres any gunk build up.

Hey all awesome do it yourselfers,

When you install the hood protector, do you need to remove the original lettering from the hood?

I just got my Canadian version with silver letters. Didn't see anything in instructions about whether it matters or not if you remove original lettering. Haven't started any install yet. Just read instructions and trying to plan.

Thanks

@Alonzo_Tigerhart

I love these and want them! But I’m confused by the site. The trim levels in the drop down options don’t match to the names of the trim levels we have in the USA. I have ordered a 2022 SX. Not sure which drop down is a match, if any.

I only thought about it I have not purchased them yet. Still deciding to go amber or white

If you have the amber led daylight running lights like on the EX or SX go with Amber. If you have the white LED go with either, but I lean towards white more to match

That’s my opinion.

In the pic it shows it with the regular telluride grill. Another member on here out it on her nightfall grill.

I looked up the measurements of these and they will fit in the NF without any issues.

I actually ended up buying these instead. They fit more flush in the grill and I like how low profile they are.

My 22 S arrives soon!

Planning to do a DIY ceramic coating and to ceramic tint the windows. I primarily want UVA/UVB protection and some heat rejection. I've heard/read different things about Kia glass. According to an old article, all Kias have solar glass which has great UV protection. According to other posts I've read, the Kia UV protection windows are labelled "solar glass" and it's only the windshield and perhaps front side windows. I hadn't been planning on doing any film on rear side and back windows because they come smoked from the factory, but I've also read that they don't offer UV protection or heat rejection. I wish there were definitive answers we could rely on because I'm not really looking for cosmetic changes with window film, but I do care about the functional improvement. I've read through a bunch of the window tinting threads here but there doesn't seem to be any true consensus here on the specifications of the factory glass.

At some point I would also like to change out the 20" stock S rims for some 18s. This is primarily a car for getting to the mountains and outdoor activities, so I would prefer to have a bit more sidewall and 3 peak tires which are harder to come by in 50 sidewall. I may end up getting some takeoff 18's or buying some Methods, that's all TBD.
