Dune Brown Interior Feedback

Got a call from dealer today who told me the Nappa leather (I ordered Dune Brown) is having supply chain issues and my 2021 SXP will now be delayed again. This is my 3rd delay since my February order - First June, then July, then August - Now October. I am a bit of a skeptic on the delay so thought I would ask here if others are hearing the same?

I hope that is just an over-exaggeration from the dealer on the ETA. I was afraid of supply issues with the Dune when I saw none going out on failcat until recently. I really hope October isn't a thing. That's no bueno.

I have the Dune Brown leather and to me it looks great! I also order "Coffee" color All Weather Floor Mats from WeatherTech and it matches my leather and makes my interior so perfect!!!

Reading through all the stories shared on this forum for the last several months of all of us waiting for our delivery made me suspect of the "supply chain" issue shared with me. Given others on this forum have not been told the same, I am concluding it is probably not completely accurate. Since my work has locked down our office and I dont commute anymore, my current vehicle has no issues and is working fine (since it is sitting in the garage most days). I am told at church that patience is a virtue. I have waited 5 months now so what's another 3 . Thanks for sharing your experiences on this forum - it really helps to understand the bigger picture of what is going on

I would seriously doubt the supply chain issue - that was last year's excuse for Prestige delays due to the fact that they didn't plan to produce as many SX. But, for 2021, they are planning for 36% SX production (most of all trims, more Prestige) and presumably they have supplier contracts to meet that production. But, anything is possible. Most dealers will say anything. That being said, it will be interesting to see how your buying experience pans out since you used NowCar. Perhaps the dealer doesn't want to get it allocated if they offered a discount to MSRP. An October delivery would be consistent with an actual allocation in August.

I think the coco mats would match the Espresso Brown interior the best.

@pheen Thanks for those photos. I'm even happier now that I ordered my Telly with the Dune Brown Nappa leather. The contrast with the grab handles looks amazing + the dark headliner. I can't wait.

@noles1983 , Sounds like a gorgeous combo. I realize you may have already posted some photos elsewhere, but can you share a photo of the amazing Everlasting Silver exterior and the Dune Brown seats/interior in the same shot, maybe with a door open?

Yes, I honestly can't think of a color it wouldn't go with. It's beautiful.

I believe its been said here before but I believe this is the iconic color combo for the Telluride. With that being said I think the new Wolf grey with dune or butterscotch would look awesome.

Unfortunately the only interior available in the Wolf Gray is black. It looks sharp though with the nightfall edition I just can't have black because of the Florida heat znd my big white dog!

Am I reading your time line correct?? Did it take only roughly 8-10 weeks to take delivery of your Telluride order??!!!

Yeah, I was one of the luckier ones with my second order placed (first order in March -- long story). I placed another order, opted for the Nightfall as I loved the way it looked with the Everlasting Silver, and ended up with it very quickly as the factory started mass producing the Nightfalls ahead of other orders. I don't believe that is still the case, however.
