@StephenCantrelle i know this has probably been answered elsewhere, but i have searched and noone has given me the entire picture. I am willing to send over a tip for your services as well. Here is where i am, and all i want to know is the steps in the process i should be asking my dealer for:
- Saturday 10/3, Dealership said 2-3 months to give or take for a SWP SX. We placed a deposit and signed a Buyer's order.
- He said that his allocation opened Tuesday (yesterday) to place the order
- He confirmed with me he placed the order, and that it takes 24 hours to process.
My questions are:
1.) What system is he ordering this in? i have read a tremendous amount about KFOS, etc... I dont want to bug him to death, but i want to know what steps we have accomplished, and what are the next steps. Does this sound to you like he ordered in KFOS?
2.) If the first question sounds like KFOS, can i ask him for an order number? Is one generated once the order is "processed" as he said?
3.) I know it takes a while to get a
VIN, and that's fine, but does the dealer get any sort of estimated dates or Build dates once there is an order number?
4.) Is there anyway for someone such as yourself to check and ensure the order was entered into the system as of today?
I have gotten burned before on something completely unrelated to car sales, being that the salesperson told me they had "placed an order" and they didnt, so its nothing against him, its just i have been burned before, and i am constantly thinking someone is forgetting something even though its completely unjustified. I dont want to bug my rep to death so im trying to do as much research as i can and am just asking every once and a while for updates from him.
