Track my vehicle

@StephenCantrelle, looks like Failcat has recently listed "my" Telluride I put a deposit on. Not sure what the lead time between VIN creation and ETA is. Dealer said by 12-18 but they have been seeing them show up a few weeks early from that ETA.

This was a deposit on a car already in allocation not a new order from me, so unsure if there are any tags of our name on this one or not. Initials would be "JN" if there were. Asked the dealer this morning, haven't gotten my call back yet.

It does happen and yes the date more than likely will change again in what direction I do not know but can keep you informed. Happening right now with a few other people in this thread... If they find a defect or have issues with transport can delay process.. Sorry as I know you are looking forward to having it for your due date.. hopefully things start moving in the other direction for you for the Telluride

I would really appreciate if you would keep me updated of any changes here and there! I called my dealership again today for any information and she said nothing yet. (Exasperated) 😭
 
I contacted a dealer after finding a VIN on FC (created 11/6), but the dealer isn't aware of it. How much of a lag time is there typically between when a VIN is created and a dealer becomes aware of it? I was told they don't have a reservation on the specs that matched those of the VIN I provided, but they couldn't take a reservation since they weren't yet aware of the vehicle. They did say that I could place an order with them for the specs I want and then if that VIN did show up before my order they'd put my name next to it. Does that sound valid?

@bags I have a reservation on a dealer allocation that doesn’t even have a VIN yet. The ETA for the Telluride I reserved is 12/29. The dealer I worked with knew what their allocation for November, December, and January would be... I can’t speak to whether all dealers know their allocations in advance or not though.

there is no gap... they show on our side before Failcat... maybe working with a newer sales consultant or one without access to see what is coming in
