brake light

I went to Uhaul earlier this week to rent a trailer and they could not get the trailer brake lights to work during testing. The turn signals worked fine. I took it to Kia Service and they said all of their tests showed no issues. I took it back to Uhaul and the brake lights still didn't work...

Tell me what you think. Thinking on install side lines and use it as turn signal and solve the lower trim signal placement on the bumper . BTW since this install is inside Not that bright with day light due the tinted glass.
