• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just finished an 1,800 mile trip (our Telluride S trim now has 6,800 miles on it) from central Missouri to eastern Washington (with a couple of small detours to visit relatives) via I70 to Kansas City, then north on I29 up to Sioux Falls, SD where we caught I90 and then all the way to Spokane, WA. The Telluride ran fabulously. In South Dakota and Montana much of the posted speed limit on I90 is 80 mph so we were cruising at speeds of around 84-87 mph much of the way. For a couple of hours in Montana while flowing with the traffic I set the cruise at 90 mph. I've never done that before even though I've driven across Montana (I actually grew up there) probably 50 times or more. The Telluride ride was smooth and quiet, and the handling was fabulous, better than expected. Overall mpg was surprisingly about 24.7 mpg (in Eco mode) even considering those higher cruising speeds. Two of our 3 days of traveling were about 740 miles per day and we didn't feel that tired.

The only thing I didn't like was the headlights at night. This trim level does not have LED headlights, and things for me (64 yr old eyes) were hard to see at times. My previous car (Honda Insight 2019) which I traded in for this Telluride had LED lights and they are noticeably better. I wish I had known that the these headlights were so poor before I bought the Telluride. I would have purchased a higher trim level which has LED headlights.

Good to hear! I haven't taken that long of a trip but have had a number of days where I've spent 4 hours or so in the car. One of the easiest driving vehicles I've driven. I feel like I can drive it all day without feeling fatigued.

The LED lights were the big thing that pushed me up to the EX-P over the S. The headlights are the best I've ever had. I drive my 2013 F150 at night and those headlights seem like gas lamps from 1913 compared to the Telluride.

Thanks for this report! We are about to embark on a round trip from DFW to Charleston, SC, about 2200 total miles. I’ve taken several road trips in my Telly before but this will be the longest. Really looking forward to the drive. 740 miles a day without much fatigue is impressive too!

Hope you enjoy your trip from DFW to Charleston. It will be nice getting out of the big city and onto the open road. I know DFW has pretty bad traffic, I've driven it several times, so enjoy. My wife, who is generally a conservative driver who doesn't use the cruise a lot, one time wasn't paying attention to her speed on the Interstate and noticed it was at 100 mph. You could. hardly feel it.

Sorry to hear about the poor lights. For a while, my SX's lights were actually the opposite, too bright. They ended up replacing them to fix the issue. In the review's, those were a big red flag. It's worth giving it an LED upgrade as mentioned in the threads.

I will never buy a new car without good headlights again. It’s a dealbreaker. Vintage cars are another story

In the meantime I recommend trying the following on a long drive at night: turn the infotainment display completely off + turn down the brightness of the gauge cluster to lowest possible light setting without being off.

It’s the same principle as seeing stars at night more clearly when there’s less ground-level light around

Was that the same problem as being aimed too high or a different issue?

I ordered these last year for my S trim! Perfect fit and took 10 minutes. Much better at night

The dealer said they were not adjustable and replaced them with no hesitation. Some have stated they did it themselves with mixed results.

Great report. I just finished a 2500 mile trip and had a similar positive experience. As for headlights, I was up at the summit of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park after midnight (for astrophotography). On the way down to Estes Park, I was REALLY glad to have the super bright LED lights!

Can these Auxito LED bulbs replace the factory bulbs (halogen I think ?) on my LX trim Telly ?
