• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... This will be my first and last Kia. Hugely disappointed with Kia! One day I noticed a big piece of paint missing from the roof of my car. Over the next couple of days, I started to see more pieces delaminated from the car. I opened a case with Kia Customer Care. After couple of back and forth emails, they had close the case without any notification or closure. I reopened the case and they advised me to take it to a dealer for inspection and estimates. I took it to the dealer and they simply took pictures but would not inspect the car any further or provide an estimate. They simply said paint is only covered for 3 yrs and they can't do anything about it and sent me on my way. I then took it to local body shop to get it fixed since I didn't want further delamination or rust from the rain. After I had gotten it fixed, Kia actually called me back and said they require an invoice for the fix and my original sales contract to make sure I was the original owner. Well after all that, Kia called me back and said they would not cover any repair since paint is only covered for 3 yrs.

When I researched the issue, there is a specific problem with Snow White Pearl paint for Hyundai/Kia cars from 2016-2023. Hyundai decided to extend their white paint warranty for 10 years/unlimited miles while Kia has done nothing about it.

I've never had paint issue where paint is literally peeling off the cars. The clear coat is in great condition, I wash and wax the car pretty regularly. So it's not like the clear coat is failing due to lack of care.

I also had my c-pillar chrome trim falling off. Thank goodness it didn't fall off completely while driving. It looked like it wasn't glued properly but that was an easy fix with automotive tape. You don't expect these kind of issues with a $50K car.
