If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can you not order a SX prestige without AWD?

🤖 AI Summary

No AI summary has been generated for this thread yet.
That’s correct. I was open to prestige, but also having to get AWD made it nearly a $5k increase. For me, the additional features weren’t worth that much money so I stayed with SX FWD.

Has anyone done a breakdown of EX FWD Premium vs SX nonPrestige FWD? Or is EX Premium FWD no longer and option on the 2022? I went to try and Kia.com now does the same as the SX with Prestige, it forces AWD in EX when selecting Premium.

If that’s the case there are only a couple 7-seat FWD options:
  • S FWD
  • SX FWD

The EX Premium FWD is definitely still a thing. Nearly 1800 such 2022s have been made so far. If the Kia.com configurator doesn’t let you build it, it’s yet another glitch with that.

So it sounds like anyone shopping for a 7-seat FWD Telluride, these are the three options:
  • 2022 S FWD - $35,290 MSRP
    • 20-in rims and wheels
    • sunroof
    • Leatherette
    • heated seats
    • Wireless phone charger
    • more chrome finishes
    • 7-seat configuration
    • Tow Hitch Option is available
  • 2022 EX FWD with Premium Pkg - $39,485 MSRP
    • Above plus
    • LED headlights
    • Folding mirrors
    • Power liftgate
    • dimming rearview mirror
    • sunshades
    • leather seats
    • ventilated seats
    • woodgrain access
    • Tow Hitch Option OR Tow Package are available
  • 2022 SX FWD (no Prestige) - $42,690 MSRP
    • Above plus
    • Reverse tilt mirrors
    • dual sunroofs
    • rain sensing wipers
    • High Beam assist
    • Fog Lights
    • mood lighting
    • fancier driver's seat
    • premium audio
    • more cameras

A few minor edits:

-High beam assist comes with LEDs, so that would be on the EX Premium.
-Rain sensing wipers are an SX Prestige feature.
-Don’t forget that the SX will get you the memory seat function and the stylish and sought-after black wheels

If mentioning prices, might as well include the mandatory $1225 destination fee since that’s a part of total MSRP and there’s no getting around that.

Great points.

The LEDs with high beam assist also change the DRL to amber vs white?

You are correct the rain sensing is Prestige, but there is something on the EX Premium that is called aero wiper blades that is not the S.

I was trying to measure apples to apples so I left the destination fee off of all three.

I think the SX FWD also comes with a slightly better speaker system than the EX Premium FWD.

Also I forgot to mention that all of these get the Pirellis. The Michelins are only on the AWDs, except the S and EX Premium AWDs get Pirellis.

The LED headlights come with the EX Premium or above. That will get you amber DRL, LED low and high beams, and high beam assist.

According to the features and options guide, “aero wiper blades” are an SX-only feature. I don’t know exactly how they differ. Presumably, they are more aerodynamic and thus quieter. Not sure how much you can even really tell when it’s already raining, which would be the only time the wipers are even exposed since they’re usually hidden.

It does, as all SX models do. You already mentioned that one (premium audio). 😊
