• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey,

My Telluride had its final inspection on March 31st and was tendered not shipped on April 7th. The dealer keeps pushing it out each week by another week. Today they are stating May 4th arrival and it hasn't even gotten onto a truck. I am in Georgia, two hours away from the factory and I bought the car from Hendrick in Cary, NC.

There doesn't seem to be an end in sight and the salesman is stating this is normal (as of late at least). Has, or is, anyone else experiencing this kind of delay? Especially, in a state that is so close to the factory?

Thanks...just a little frustrated at this point as we put the order in September 15 2021.

The delays seem to happen nationwide. Seems to be more of a shortage of truckers to load and deliver than anything. Even the ones that get shipped crkss country by train, still sometimes sit for a week to be delivered. Sorryfor your delay, im sure its frustrating, but more than likely nothing to do with the dealer or salesperson, but the lack of drivers

Anybody else? Since I wrote the original post it's been shoved out weekly 3 more times. It's been delayed five weeks in a row now. If this is due to a truck driver shortage, I would expect a lot of people to be experiencing the same thing and I haven't seen any significant discussion about it on this forum.

Sorry, but I am frustrated as the dealership doesn't have any answers and the kia hotline didn't have any details either.

Thanks

Is it just awaiting transit?

That is a lot of delays. Have you checked with the thread, track my vehicle, to see if you can get the delivery eta? Or have you done that and thats whats been happening? Im sure thats frustrating and I hope you get some definitive answers soon

My dealer is in South Florida

VIN showed up 4/20.
First real ETA was 5/8 (originally maybe late May before VIN).
Bumped to 4/30 but the truck did not arrive. New ETA 5/1.
I drove 5 hours to dealer on 5/1.
Delayed again to 5/2 (waited at hotel).
Arrived end of day 5/2 and I picked up 5/3.

It sounds like trucking estimates are haphazard.

I actually found out today, by calling to see if it was in transit, that it had already arrived. I'm going Friday to pick up.

Wish me luck and thanks for the responses!
