• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Does the Telluride have downhill brake control?

No "hill descent control" button that activates any electronic controls... but...

You can use old-school "engine braking" by manually downshifting...

...or there's always the brake pedal? 🤣

You can use old-school "engine braking" by manually downshifting...

There is a fairly steep hill that leads down to my neighborhood. The speed limit is 35, which means you either have to keep tapping on brakes, or use engine braking. If I set my Telly's cruise control to 35MPH is will automatically downshift as needed to keep my speed at 35.

As I mentioned above, when I come down the hill near my home, I set cruise control to the speed limit and the engine brakes automatically by downshifting as needed.
