• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can anyone explain what is happening during the process from the time your vehicle hits Failcat to delivery?

Here's my concern. My vehicle posted on Failcat 4/30/22 with an original ETA of 5/15. It has been delayed to 5/29 (I get the delays). Here's where my confusion begins. My dealership has 4 vehicles that posted to Failcat with dates later than mine that all have been either picked up or in transit to dealer with the most recent Failcat date being 5/19. Two of the group are SX V6 AWD P/N like mine so I don't understand if its a build issue. Why is my vehicle being skipped over? It seems like cars comes in bunches to the dealer. I'm in Virginia if that helps.

How do you know that the vehicles that posted to failcat after yours are in transit to your dealer? My understanding is that once a vehicle hits failcat it is in final production. It then needs to be completed, inspected, and then transported to your dealer, typically with other vehicles that your dealer is receiving. So it could be as short as a week or as long as a month or two prior to it arriving at the dealer, depending on how many vehicles are being shipped together. But other than contacting my dealer directly, I wasn't able to see which vehicles were in transit.

You can view it from Kia's website. Just search "Local Inventory Search Kia" . It will tell you all the vehicles currently in stock and where as well as any vehicles arriving soon. I would also match it with my dealerships website and it would say "In transit" for the vehicles that are on the way to dealer. I matched the VIN's for all of these vehicles to come to my conclusion. I've been watching this closely since my first delay. I have a vacation I planned with hopes of using my Telly for that I may now miss. My wait is getting close to 8 months and I've lost all patience at this point lol.

Well, all I can say is that my vehicle showed as "arriving soon" on Kia and my dealership website as soon as it had a VIN assigned. It didn't mean much other than it was a confirmed vehicle that would be arriving. I don't know why yours doesn't show as arriving soon. I totally hear you on losing patience. I didn't wait as long as you have and it was an exceedingly frustrating experience.

Most likely an issue was found during inspection and it is being resolved.

Thanks! Good to know, but bad to hear. At least that provides a little more clarity. Hopefully, I'll be free from any issues when I finally receive it.

My Telly is going on 10 months . Just hang in there.

As you can tell from my signature line, I am in exactly the same boat as you. My VIN was created on 4-29, inspection was 4-30, failcat says 5-5 but I had the window sticker way before that. Like you, my ETA date keeps getting changed.

I did the same thing as you--compared failcat to the inventory page of Kia's website, and noticed vehicles being sent even though created after mine.

I have no answers. The waiting makes us crazy.
