How do you like the black copper?

For those of you who have owned the black copper for a bit, how is it holding up? Is it getting those "swirls" in the clear coat? I know it depends on how you wash it. Do the little scratches stand out? Let me know how you like it so far. Thanks

Curious on what responses you get here. I just ordered a Black Copper SX on 9/1. It's the least chosen color in my area based on failcat.com (so it's unlikely I'll line up next to another one at a red light). The images and videos of the color look amazing and the dealer said it is the most under-rated color choice (Yeah, I know that might have been his salesman response).

I was able to see one before I ordered. My dealership had one on the lot and it was beautiful. - I ordered in May, still waiting.
Now I’m wondering if another color would have been more easily maintained. No going back now😂

I love it. Especially since the color changes in sun-light. Those copper flakes really set this color choice apart from others, even more if you have the dune brown seats.

I agree that dune brown has to be the best combo with BC exterior. I had a friend convince me to go black interior because I'm a slob that will inevitably get a stain on it! My truck is supposed to arrive in December or January... I may need to wait a few months to see what it looks like in the sunlight here in Buffalo!

If I was going for a black vehicle, I don't see any downsides to choosing BC. It's black 90% of the time, and then it looks like something amazing is happening the other 10% of the time.

I love this color (at least in pictures as I haven't seen it in reality) and would have ordered it but I was afraid that it would get too dirty too easily. So I went with silver that will hide the dirt. I wonder though if ceramic coating would keep it from being dirty so quickly?

I'm in Buffalo too! We had a good summer, alittle rainy of late. Best wishes to you on your purchase!

Go Bills!! Northtown Kia. Ordered back in March and took delivery in June!
Nice - that is where I ordered from too. They told me they charge MSRP, so I'm hoping for no surprises at the time of delivery when it comes to the price. Did you buy at MSRP? Thanks so much!

I saw a black copper sxp nf for the first time in person today, and it looked awesome. I’m not sure it’s a color I could order for myself, but it looked great going by. I feel like it’s one of those colors I would get tired of quickly if I drove it everyday, but I get that way with unique colors.

Had mine for 2 years now and holding up great! Usually we wash by hand. Still sparkles in the sun! Clear coat is holding up great. I have never regretted the car or the color choice. (We went with the black interior, preferred it over the caramel.)

Thanks for that update. That is exactly what I wanted to know about. It’s hard to pick out a color when you can’t take a good look at them and compare them all.
I’m glad to know it’s holding up well and you are enjoying your telluride 😊

I handwash mine using a foam cannon or go through a brushless wash. My car is so so beautiful. I get compliments on the color every week. I have had other Telluride owners tell new they wanted the Black Copper but didn't want to wait. Then most of them say after seeing my Telluride they wished they had waited for the Black Copper color. It's unique and beautiful in sun. I've seen every other color produced and would not take a single one of those colors over Black Copper. You won't be disappointed. I have Nappa Dune Brown leather interior and have to say it's a classy combination.

Glad to know you have used a brushless wash. I will need to do that on occasion and was hoping that would not be a problem. Great to hear you like it so much.-thanks
