I have two questions about the 2021 Kia Telluride's Idle Stop & Go (ISG) System:
1. I know the purpose of the system is to conserve fuel, but doesn't the constant starting/stopping of the engine have a detrimental effect on the engine's health? Wouldn't it be better to just have the engine stay on, even if fuel is used?
2. Assuming that I wanted to deactivate the ISG system, I know that I can deactivate it on specific occasions by pressing the ISG off button (button containing the A with the circle around it). But that means I need to press the button every time I enter the vehicle and want to deactivate the system. Is there a way to keep the ISG system off more systematically -- so I don't need to deactivate the system/push the off button every single time I get in the vehicle? For example, can I build such a function into "driver 1" or "driver 2" settings? Something else?
