My question is about how this warranty works and pays for covered repairs-please refrain from the well worn arguments pro/con of buying extended warranty at all.
I told the finance guy of Fowler today that I wasn't interested in any extended warranty that wasn't from Kia itself expecting him to tell me there was no such thing. However he came up with a product called 'Kia Distinction' that he claimed is Kia's and sent me a quote. I was surprised to hear that and when we hung up I did some searching here and on Google and still don't really understand what this product is. It has come up here a couple of times but not often.
"Kia Distinction" appears to be a custom labeled product Kia sells directly that is administered via Fidelity Warranty Services who is a well known third party warranty company. They are not universally endorsed by their extended warranty customers. I was told that ALL Kia Dealers accept this warranty but don't know if that means I just drop it off in the service bay and they take care of everything (which is my past experience with Ford/Honda EW products) or if I'm responsible for paying then submit paperwork for reimbursement. The Contract they sent makes it look like it is on the end-user rather than the service department.
However Google shows that this same warranty program "Kia Distinction" is what they use for their used CPO vehicles which by definition should be magically covered via Kia for any breakdowns. However, I can't find any Kia Marketing for the new car variant. I also find it odd that the Muncie warranty thread links to a Fidelity Warranty product that doesn't seem to be labeled as 'Kia Distinction'.
Anyone here a Kia veteran that has experience with this product?

-- 12 page contract, the fine print
-- Kia marketing page for this warranty on CPO vehicles
