• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Shipping Question for all of the (many) Kia experts in here. Does Kia “land ship” (rail, truck) all of their produced vehicles from the West Georgia plant to all US dealers, or do they also ship via cargo ship on the water , to dealers within the US?

I’m specifically asking if tellurides produced at the W. GA plant, going to dealers in the US, are all shipped by land, or do any/some go by boat? (Again, going to only US dealers). I am NOT asking about W. GA produced vehciles going to international destinations…. Only about going from W. GA plant to US dealers to be sold within the US.

Second question - Does anyone have any idea, how long it takes Telluride to go from the west Georgia plant, to Arizona dealers?

Thanks so much!!!

Cutler

Are you planning on robbing one of a train or something..lol?

I don't think there is any logic to how the shipping times work. If they give you a delivery date to the dealer it usually shows up around that time. Shortly before or after.

I would say all by land? That would be the most efficient and the quickest.

This happened in 2020. Tellurides were headed to Baltimore from West Point Georgia.

Even though the next stop was Baltimore, those Tellurides were headed for the Middle East if I'm not mistaken. That story got posted quite a bit in the forum when it happened and again during the recovery process.
