• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The other 2 cars I was also considering was the MDX and the QX60. The interior space was my priority and now that the QX60 is now available I just want to check out the spec to see if I made the right decision.

OUTSIDE DIMENSION

MDX 198.4 x 78.7 x 67.1 in

QX60 198.2 x 78.0 x 69.7 in

TELLURIDE 196.9 x 78.3 x 68.9 in

LEG ROOM

41.6/38.5/29.0 in = 109.1

42.1/37.7/28.0 in = 107.8

41.4/42.4/31.4 in = 115.2

PASSENGER VOLUME

71.4/39.1/16.3 cu ft = 126.8

75.4/41.6/14.5 cu ft = 131.5

87/46/21 cu. ft. = 154

It’s surprising for a shorter overall length (and bigger engine) the Telluride has more interior volume. Also, about legroom, most spec give 1st/2nd/3rd row individual dimension but this can be misleading since 1st and 2nd rows can slide. So it makes more sense to add up the total legroom to compare.

So the Telluride is still the right choice for me (but I really like the look of the QX60) for more than $12k less 😊

My last SUV was a 2012 MDX. For roughly the same exterior dimensions, my wife and I were amazed how much more spacious the Telluride feels (and is) than the MDX.
