Did you remove the black hard plastic panels from underneath before installing the running boards?
You have to remove them for the install. Now whether or not you reinstall them is debatable. Some folks have reinstalled them and trim them a for, and some have removed them completely.

The Black Horse running boards fit the 2022 with zero issues.

There's even space for the OEM mud flaps with out needing to trim the mud flaps.

I'm installing the mud flaps tomorrow.

Which Black Horse running boards did you get. I looked them up and there are several to choose from. The reason I am asking is because i have the nightfall addition and mud guards already installed

My Wingstep motorized running boards arrived in about 3 days to the East Coast from Seoul. My dealership had the Telly for about 8 hours to install them. They are glorious! P.S. Middle pic was taken post ceramic coating/pre running board installation. Just wanted to show her off. ;-)
Your local Kia dealership installed the boards is that correct?

They did, much to their chagrin. Said they'd never do it again due to the fact that I asked for a price cap in advance of the work ($300) and it ended up taking them 8 hours. Not sure if it was a difficult install or beyond their field of expertise. But if I were you, I'd take the directions up and ask the lead at the service department for a hard cap on the work.

I'm not sure if yours retract or if they have an electronics connection for lighting. If so, $180 is an amazing deal.

Hi , the dealer had it for about 8 hours I see. How many hours did they charge for the install ? I just got a set and the dealer wants to see them to try to price out the job so , I just am looking for an idea. The Wingstep's are awesome. Thanks !

I asked for a hard cap on the price before they did the install. They set it at $300. They charged me the full $300 and would have charged me much more had I not negotiated the cap. Dealership only wanted the directions for the install to evaluate our agreed upon price. They probably would have been wise to look over the item as well.

You got a deal ! They charged me 6 hours at 140 per. I ended up getting a free rental car for the day and 126 discount because they had to reschedule me due to having two mechanics call off the day I had it scheduled. Installed yesterday for 801.00... They said it took them 8 hours.. I feel like they should have bought me a drink or dinner or something lol..

Looking to cover or replace the KIA emblems on your Telluride? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Did you try to negotiate a hard ceiling price in advance? Maybe that's what you negotiated was 6 hours. I'm not sure. If so, they must have done these before and knew what to expect. One caveat, when you have your car's tires rotated or oil changed, make sure they extend the boards out and then unplug them in that extended position to prevent any damage from the hoist. That is something I wouldn't have thought about if they hadn't given me a heads up. Congrats on what I'm sure is a nice looking vehicle!

Unfortunately, I have a follow up to these Wing Step motorized running boards:

One of my Wing-Step power running boards is defective after 11 months use. It continues to open and close, however, the light is defective and no longer illuminates. I've emailed the company's president, Mr. Shin, a number of times in an attempt to get this rectified. Mr. Shin suggested that I check my connections. I took the vehicle to my local Kia dealership to have the running board in question checked out. The service receipt states that the connections are all secure, but the light is malfunctioning. At this point, Mr. Shin is avoiding my request for either a 50% refund (based on 1 defective running board) or a replacement of 1 running board. He keeps trying to offer me a 50% refund on the price I paid for an oil change that is recorded on the same dealership work order receipt. Laughable when I paid over $1,000 for these less than a year ago. This company obviously doesn't stand behind its products and I'm cautioning others about buying from them.

If anything changes on this front, I'll be sure to update this post.

I am updating this post to let the forum know that Mr Shin decided to handle this situation to our mutual satisfaction. The issue is now remedied.

Great to hear that it was remedied. Replacement or refunded money back? If you don’t mind me asking
