• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is Kia really making a truck based off the telluride or just rumor?

SO I got my 7500 oil change today and while sitting there, the service department was talking about the Telly truck. I am no motorhead, and have no idea what is what, but they all did seem very convinced this was going to be good for 2022. Who knows. And they were specific enough to say that the concepts online, that show the truck with full chrome around the windows, was the model that was being built. I would never get one but the thought is cool. I know I see a ton of ridgelines around, so it can be done.

Hyundai is coming out with a 2021 Santa Cruz truck that shares parts with the Santa Fe and will be built in Alabama. I think it is slated to compete with the Ridgeline but priced like a Ford Ranger. The Santa Cruz is rumored to have the same unibody frame as the Santa Fe which is also the same as the Palisade and the Kia Sorento and Telluride. I'm guessing if the Santa Cruz does well, who knows, maybe a slightly bigger version could be built. But I think a truck Telluride might look nicer than a truck Palisade. Montgomery, AL is only 1hr 30min from West Point, GA, so I'm sure they have a lot of parts suppliers all around and in between.

But according to this article Australia might see it first: Kia Pickup Truck Development Confirmed, Arriving In 2022 Or 2023

If Kia did want to compete with a light duty 4x4 on a truck frame, they could produce a civilian version of the Kia KM450. The original Jeep Gladiator from the 1960s is based on the military Jeep M715. Years ago Kia licensed the rights to build the M715 and built the KM450 on a modified version of it. The new Jeep Gladiator is based on a Wrangler which is smaller.

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything new on the Telluride Truck for Australia or the Hyundai Santa Cruz in the US?

This was the last article I remember reading and it mentions 7,000 towing, but then another article mentioned Australia might have a diesel.

I don't see any official mentions anywhere here: Award-Winning Small Cars, Family Cars & SUVs | Kia Australia

Ford just announced a new 4-door crew cab 5 passenger Maverick truck with a hybrid that gets 40mpg that will start under $20,000.
