The Hunt for MSRP

In the ever tiring search for MSRP without the hassle of shipping or travelling too far, I've started compiling a list of dealerships on Long Island, New York and how much they sell above MSRP

Kia of Huntington - 10% (guy told me they never do this, but went down to 5% so my guess is they do, in fact, do this)
Smithtown Kia - 7.5% on the EX (guy told me over the phone 4%, but then walked it back in text saying he never said that) mentioned different percentages on other trims
Generation Kia - anywhere from $1500 - $3000 above MSRP
John Starks Kia - $4000 - $7000 above MSRP
South Shore Kia - $3000 above
Karp Kia - $5000 above

Reached out to and haven't heard back:
Northstar Kia
Plaza Kia

Not reaching out to Autoworld Kia, had bad experiences in the past

If anyone has more info and would like to keep adding to the list feel free to do so of dealerships in the tri-state area you've encountered.

I will update as I hear back from these places and hope I don't have to order from too far away, unless the delivery/drive comes out cheaper than whatever above MSRP is

I may have found my MSRP, but in Albany. driving up tomorrow morning, fingers crossed i don’t get screwed after a 3 hour drive

Not sure if this will help or not, but I was also on the lookout for MSRP (or better) for my '22 SXP AWD. I drove from central PA to Kia of Groton, CT to pick it up for MSRP.

On their website, they had it marked up to $60K. I think my wife and I spammed a ton of dealerships one night via email looking cars up on KBB and Edmunds.com. I'm pretty sure she emailed them since I wouldn't have reached out for a $60K car. They emailed me probably within the week, saying they would sell it for MRSP.

It couldn't hurt to reach out to them and ask. The worst thing they say is no. Talk to Ajaye (ajayealston@kiaofgroton.com). He was phenomenal with providing all the information either via email or phone before I even drove out there. They are probably about 3 hours from you, depending on where you are located.

Keep posting up as well, and you will be able to add links. took me a little bit as well.

I have my ‘23 Telluride from Kia of East Syracuse at MSRP. They are pretty straightforward. No markups, no BS add-ons, no pressure on in-house financing. Their doc fees are very reasonable. If I recall correctly, they charged me $199 for the doc fees plus state registration fees. They upgraded the warranty to 200K miles or 20 years for free which sounds very good but I would find no use of it since I am from Brooklyn and 450 miles away from them. Not sure if they are still taking build orders though. The only complaint I might have is they didn’t provide me with much update until the VIN was available.

I’ll keep them in mind, currently hopeful that the Glacial White EX in Albany works out

Glacial White EX 2023 with Captain’s seats in second row and gray/navy interior. drove 3 hours (both ways) but well worth it.

if anyone goes there, they have MSRP and a large inventory, ask for Alex Batko and tell them Joe Voce sent you.

PS i call my car Moby. i finally caught my white whale!

Congrats! Glacial White Pearl is one great exterior color. I was initially picking the same color for "22 before my order was updated to "23. Enjoy your rides!

Kia of Schenectady NY. No mark ups or extra fees! Just picked mine up this weekend. They were wonderful!! Andre Porter was the salesperson I used - reach out to him and he can tell you what they have coming in!
