Here is the quote I got from Safelite. The nearest Kia dealership said they don’t do any glass work.

Try glass America. Same thing happened to me and safelite was charging me a G! I called Glass America and they did mine for $330.

My deductable is $500 so I paid out of pocket. Didn't need to use my insurance. The price is really $330. If you calibrate your Fcamera it will cost more. Just don't unplug it and let it hang when replacing the window it will be fine. Its an extras $220 if they have to calibrate your camera.

I had my 2023 SX P get a chip and then a long crack in the windshield. Just over 1000 miles so I was so upset but better than a door ding. Safelite did try to repair but the crack just got bigger. So next week I am scheduled for new windshield install by Safelite they have a life time warranty hopefully this will all work out.

HI, How long it took for your OEM Glass to deliver... mine also had crack recently due to a rock and windshield needs to be replaced...since it is SX prestige very hard to get new OEM and no date given yet..been month already

For those of you with windshield cracks, do you regret Buying the Telly? I just switched to State Farm from Allstate and wondering if I should get windshield protection added to my policy. Or is this another reason to choose a different vehicle/manufacturer although I do love the Telly....haven't purchased yet.

Putting your deductable more than $250 for comprehensive does not really save you much money. I keep mine at $100 especially during deer season

Windshield protection is great value. I’ve had to replace 2 windshields in the past 3 months(just bad luck) and paid only $100 each time for a $2500 windshield. Coverage with Farmers Insurance is $18 per year.

As I have the SX prestige so has the HUD that adds cost to the windshield, so added the coverage with State Farm. I have had many windshields replaced on different brand cars. If a rock comes flying thru the air (well). Even had one completely broken out with a large rock flying out of a dump truck in a 1990 GMC. I do drive on lots of 2 lane roads so that clearly does not help.

I have the original 2020 windshield where a small crack spidered into a larger crack. It does suck to go through the replacement process. I went with OEM replacement glass, because I didn’t want to deal with any issues with aftermarket glass being incompatible with the front camera, rain sensor or HUD. Still love my car and wouldn’t stop me from recommending the car to other buyers.

OEM is the way to go, I have had to replace mine twice .. the second time they didn't use OEM and my HUD was all out of whack so I had to get it replaced with OEM.

Do you have the HUD? Heads up display? If so, stick with OEM. I didn't get OEM the second time and my HUD was a mess. I had to have it replaced again.

He has an SX. No HUD. Not sure if there are other electronics built into the windshield? So it may be wise to stick with the OEM regardless.
