Towing package vs just towing hitch

How do I tell if I have the towing package or just the towing hitch installed? Just purchased last week and noticed neither are listed on the window sticker, but definitely have the hitch and receptacle installed.

Based on the window sticker it is technically impossible to tell, however with the tow package you would have self-leveling rear suspension, which comes from the factory, as opposed to the tow hitch-only which is a dealer installed option. Might need to bring it to your dealer and inquire because without a trained eye you may not be able to tell which of the rear suspension options you have.

Take a picture of a rear shock to see what the part number is.

Seems odd that you would have the tow package if it didn’t get noted on the window sticker. I could see how the tow option could get added at the dealer and it would not be on the window sticker.

Yes odd. You might want to attach a picture of the hitch also to see if it is a KIA. Not sure how that would ever slip by.

I’ll take some pictures later, but definitely has the hitch, 7-pin, and different bumper cover on it. Would almost rather it not have the self adjusting “pump up” shocks as nothing more than a bike rack will go on it.

My sticker on my 2022 very specifically shows the tow package and the $795 price tag. Without that I’d assume it wasn’t the factory option.

It's very likely you don't have the tow package and the dealer just installed the hitch/bumper cover themselves after the fact.
