If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

British Columbia, Canada.

2021 Telluride SX
$56,500.00 all in.
No extra accessories and no extended warranty.
What do you think of this deal?

Thanks.

What's the discount? And what dealership?

Funny, when I took a SX out for a test drive (they had nothing else), I also heard noises, but it was like from the tires, or below something.

Can't explain it, like a grumbling sound going down the road, like the tires were scrubbing,

When I got mine, no noise, whisper quiet.
Hi, noticed you are in Calgary Alberta. Just have a few questions would like to ask you. with respect to pricing at the Kia dealerships did you have to pay more than what is shown on the website . Also would like the NS, but not willing to pay for the extras of the Sxl, so looking to get the SX with the black rims and maybe get some after market stick on telluride letters and emblem. Any advice will be welcome. Thanks

Does anyone have any recommendations for winter tires? (245/60R18)

I keep seeing mixed reviews on several. I've had Blizzaks, Hankook iPikes, Pirelli Scorpion Winter in the past. Not sure which route I want to go for my Telluride. The General Tire Grabber Arctics rate well on Consumer Reports but not really much else on them anywhere else on the interwebs. Someone help me pick!:)

With you being in Calgary, I can hook you up with my buddy that owns a tire shop if interested (Well establish, long time shop). He got me Goodyear Wintercommands, and I had NO issues last week going though 2 feet of snow.

He is super informative, will not push any sales bullshit on you, and tell you honest truth with no obligation.

Send me a PM with your first name and Last initial, and I can pass you along some info if you want. My buddy has helped a few people from Calgary get tires this year on their Tellurides from here and Facebook groups I am in and all have been happy.

Yes, in Calgary, I paid less than MSRP, but I factory ordered. I paid the $500 dealer fee, and the normal $2000 freight fees, but no "nitrogen/etched glass/bullshit fees. I ended up getting all these extra (nitrogen, block heater, locking wheel nuts, etc) for free. I think they accidently installed them to be truthful...LOL

Personally I think the LED taillights and Heads Up display (and heated cooled rear seats) is worth it for the SXL, a lot off people will tell you it's not (I love the heads up display personally).and the small bit more you pay for the Nightsky (above the SXL), you will pay for the rims/stickers anyways.

$4500 for from SX to SXL-Nightsky is a lot, but for me it was worth it as I wanted the black look.

You really just have to decide if $2500-3000 difference is worth it for you for the extras from SX to SXL, because you will be paying the $1500-$2000 to get black rims, and letters, and badges or more anyways for the SSXL to SXL-NS bump.

Dechroming alone will cost you over $1000, probably closer to $2000 if you are even considering that. So if you are, now you are only paying $1500 for all those extra cool, options for the SXL, and have factory blackout stuff.

You can probably get the SXL-Nightsky out the door (taxes, fees, etc) for $61,000 (about what I got it for). You might get a better deal now? Not sure there is any on the lots though,

So in the end you have to decide what you really want I guess.

Thank you so much for this detailed response. Now you've got me thinking all over again about going all the way. Just curios, are you saying you didn't get any of the 3M,undercoating,rust proofing, leather protection stuff? Aren't all those necessary, especially for the weather here. I'm hoping to get their winter tyres for free, cos it seems like they have a promo going on right now. And yes the sales guy u spoke to at East Side Kia said they would have to order and it will take 6-12weeks

Not OP but fellow Canadian here... I've never gotten rustproofing or undercoating etc on any of my vehicles. Never been a problem.

I can’t PM you yet (new member).
I have contacted UrbanEx for a ballpark number on a few different tire packages. They were all around $2000~ which included TPMS sensors.

The guy I talked to on the phone was knowledgeable but I forgot to ask if they store your other tires for free with the swap over.

I also might try getting a better deal from the dealership as they are giving me a deal for $1750, but not sure if that includes TPMS. Will try to haggle them down when I pickup.

installed the Blizzak DM-V2 in the same size that you mentioned. Ride has been smooth and quiet from my end since throwing them on two weeks back.

I have also heard good things about the Continental Vikingcontact 7

On Kia.ca:
$53,440.00
With BC tax:
$59,852.80

Coquitlam Kia offered me:
$50,445.00
After tax:
$56,498.40

I put the downpayment down 1 hour ago!
If you don't mind, would you take a lease or financing?
Thank you :)

Which Urban Expressions did you call?

I called the one in the NE. I will call again in the next few days. Just waiting to see what the dealership can do for me as they quoted me a deal on winter tires when I signed off on the vehicle.

Tell Bob at UrbanEx NE, Greek referred you.

See what he says.

Can you PM me your firsts name (or post here if you want?)

Thanks for the advice. But I decided to just move forward with getting them through the dealership as I get a deal that was better than anywhere I looked.

My name is Jamie btw.

When did you sign off and when are you getting your vehicle. Is it the nightsky and hope you didn't pay much above msrp

Signed off November 20th for the Nightsky, as per my signature. The vehicle is ready. I am just away from Calgary currently.

I didn't pay above MSRP. I did some minor haggling and I traded in my BMW as well. I pay for what I want and the Nightsky is worth every penny. If you want something, get it, even if you have to pay MSRP for this vehicle, it's worth it. Sounds like you're on the fence...

To be honest, you are correct about me being on the fence about it. Have a friend at East Side Kia who is trying to convince me to get it. I like the telluride too alot. But still struggling to shake off the fact that it's a Kia and having to pay that much for a Kia.

After driving mine for 1/3 of a year, I will echo that the HUD is completely worth it. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do, but I rarely have to look at the gages anymore.

I do wish the Kia Maps were better, as I like what they add to the HUD, but I usually end up using my Google Maps through CarPlay, as it has a much better locator of things in Canada.
