  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Johnny here. I am not an owner yet. My wife deserves the next new vehicle. She likes the Telluride over the Palisade due to having a shift lever, and more analog features like buttons. We had a short test drive of an EX. It just arrived and the dealer did not want us out much. The seats feel REAL firm. Is that an issue with anyone? The Palisade seats were plush.

We plan to try and get the SX trim with the prestige package. Colors are either everlast grey or the Sangria. I do like the black grill. The blacked out tire rims are meh to me. The chrome one is OK as well.

I have back issues so I need to test drive again to feel the seats. How do others rate the seats? Are they real firm? I drive an Audi S4 as my daily and the bolsters keep me planted real well. The seats do give me issues on real long drives. So, any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Also, maintenance... I know many manufacturers are heading towards "lifetime" fluids. I do not believe in that. Even my Audi has a few systems with lifetime fill. I was able to change them for maintenance reasons. Has anyone tried to get their transmission or differential serviced? I understand its an inspection item only. I am worried about reliability overall.

AND, one more item. Has anyone bought the extended warranty? Price? Are some dealers online giving a better deal?

Nice to meet you all virtually.

Johnny

I have a 21 S which are different seats than the SX trim. I feel mine are comfortable but I’ve heard some talk about seat firmness on this forum

I'll speak to what I've experienced.

I find the seats firm but giving...if that makes sense. I find softer seats harder on my back. Too much give doesn't work for me. I find these seats a great balance between supportive and comfy. But this is a very personal thing.

I love the same things your wife loves. Analog dials. Big buttons. Not just for ease of use but also aesthetically. I find the Palisade pretty ugly, inside and out, to be honest.

I have Everlasting Grey. Are you Canadian? It's called Everlasting Silver in the US. I don't have anything blacked out. But I love this colour. It changes daily.

I did get an extended warranty. Always have on cars but on nothing else. It has worked out for me. I've only owned Hondas before though. The extended warranties treated me well, even with that well respected brand. Lots of shit goes wrong on cars and I don't swap out every two or three years. I usually keep them 7-10 years.

That's all I got! I don't know anything about fluids.....
