• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just got done washing my car for the second time. This is a 2020 SXP that I bought gently used with 7000 miles last month. I noticed that there is definitely fine scratching of the outside of the wiper blade on the passenger side. Inspection of the blade looks fine just wondering if anyone else experienced this and is this a product of the wiper tension, glass hardness or just an anomaly. Speaking of windows, has anyone worked their insurance to cover glass replacement by lowering their deductible in the event there is a need for replacement in the future?

The wiper blade is scratching the window? Maybe the window got scratched by something harder than glass that was temporarily caught on the wiper blade and has since been dislodged?

I did quick check and there is some other cases among the windshield failures. Something harder than glass, hmm diamonds? :giggle::giggle:. I will get some new blades, it's completely out of my site thankfully

I agree. Could have been sand stuck in the wipers. Unlikely rubber/silicone can etch into glass on its own.
