Calling all Owners that have Rebadged their Tellys to Show and Tell

I want to rebadge our new glacier white 21 Telly EX-P. I am leaning toward/liking the 3.0 Klexus black with chrome, or the Vintage K, but would love to see what you have done, and your results. Show Me and Tell me your story to help me decide. I kinda want a Big T on the steering wheel, but will probably need to be consistent.

Chrome or nightfall? I have a GWP NE which I debadged and went with the Vintage K in black chrome. This was after I had first done the Vintage K with a white background. The white was too white.

Curious as to why “rebadge” is a thing? Is it just an aesthetic preference?

RyanATX, I think rebadging is just personal preference, so kinda like adding charms to my favorite charm bracelet, lol. But, I love tellthemride's answer! LOL!
My husband thinks I'm ridiculous, but I'm going to do it anyway, lol.

So, Jersey, that is the Vintage K, correct? Love it, I think it looks amazing on your Telly. Did you take it to the dealership to do that? I will need to have a professional do this on mine as I haven't a clue how to get those badges off. I did watch a video, but nope, I'm not going to attempt it myself.

That is the vintage which is discernible because the K has the separate line. Here are a few shots of mine. I had the detailer who did the PPF and ceramic coating remove and apply the new ones.

The white one was too white against the GWP so I switched the gunmetal variant. I have the Nightfall Edition, though. If you have chrome, you will want to go with the one @JerseySXP has if you like the Vintage

I had the guy who painted my calipers do it for me. Front one, tires, and steering wheel are easy. The back one is the tricky one.

The Vintage K does look nicer than the other rebadge options in my opinion. If the Round KIA Motors logo was a possibility, that really looks the best. Don't mean to sound harsh but the KLexus shape/design looks like a someone screwed up making a Mazda badge and stuck it on their car anyway. When one Forum user accidentally stuck hers on upside down, it actually looked better than the original logo orientation.

Personally I like the silver on black KIA logos on the wheels. Did any re-badgers keep those stock and just change out the grill badge?

I love the round kia motors badge that you are referencing. That should honestly be their new logo moving forward - instead of something futuristic looking.

oh, I thank you all for the help. I haven't seen anything round, but the car is so big, I like the oval shape for sure.

And, DarkMossJustin, I kinda agree with you on leaving the KIA badge on the wheels, mainly because it seems that I read in some thread that the overlays didn't wear very well on the wheels.....going through carwashes, all the weather, etc. So, I am giving consideration to not altering that at all.

and Bcjenkins, it really helps to see it on GWP, so thank you for posting your pics! I agree with you about not going with the white and the comparison picture is helpful. I am assuming you ordered the Klexus 3.0 and I think that is a very clean look. I like that too. Did you happen to do your steering wheel?

Anybody have a pic of the steering wheel overlay? That is the piece I want to do first.

I am now looking at the emblems and in the Vintage K group, it looks like the front/back badge are black backgrounds but they added the checkered portion on the smaller pieces. Does anybody know how to contact the seller on this forum store to ask a question? There doesn't seem to be a number to call. I would prefer all black background like the front and rear. Thanks for any help on this.

okay, Jersey, that helps, now, is that an overlay, meaning you simply peel off the adhesive back and put it on, or did you have to have that whole piece removed on the steering wheel and put this one on? Sorry for all the questions, my husband will kill me if I mess up this car, and we have never done anything like this. lol

Mine are the Vintage K, I like the fact that it was the Kia logo at some point. I still have the NE stock logos on the wheels and steering wheel. I am not a fan of the overlay idea. I do have them sitting in my office and will either sell them or use them.

Im actually over the whole rebadging thing. I feel a lot of pride when people say "thats a kia?" I feel so happy knowing that I made a smart decision. The Telly is a winner
