If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Questions about prices for preowned Tellurides

Hello! I am enjoying reading everyone’s posts and have learned a lot of great information so far. I have a couple questions about prices for preowned Tellurides:

1) what is the consensus about purchasing extended warranties for preowned warranties? In other words, is it recommended? If yes, what pricing is reasonable?

2) For members who have purchased a preowned Telluride, what services did you use to determine if the asking price was fair? Edmunds? KBB? True Car?

3) do these prices (see attached photos) seem reasonable or high?

Thank you in advance! Have a great night!

They both have more miles than I would expect for a 20 even if they were purchased late 19. They were probably traded off before the 36,000 mile warranty expired. Sangria is nice and that price is about what I would expect to see although I wouldn’t pay it for a used. The 20’s don’t have factory remote start (if that’s important to you). Extended warranties are a personal choice and there has been a lot of discussion here about them. I would at a minimum CARFAX the VIN’s to see what’s there if anything. You may get a wide variety of opinions on this but that’s my .02 👍

Ok, this is up my alley. I purchased a 2020 SXP, no tow for $42k with 7000 miles on it over a month ago. At the time of purchase, there were resellers looking to buy it full retail from this dealership and resell. The car is so new, its difficult to come up with what is a fair price. I had just looked at a SX not Prestige with almost 30, 000 miles for MORE at a Kia dealer (around $44k) and they weren't budging. Once I looked at the car, it was as new, still smelled new. I think the combination of it being a Jeep Chrysler dealer, Covid, Holidays, who knows left it our there. As far as warranties, this one was so low on miles and with a 5 year, its no big deal for any warranties in my opinion.

Remember that the Telluride was an early 2019 release... there might be Tellurides that have been in service for 22 or 23 months at this point.

How early; before Aug 2019 early?

Late Feb 2019. We are quickly approaching the two year anniversary of the first Tellurides leaving dealer lots.

Oh that is early; thanks for the info 👍

I'm now just starting to see 2020 Tellurides showing up in the used car markets. Asking prices seem to be around the MSRP of a new 2020 (there are still some around).

Yup! We've had ours since March of 2019.
