If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... New to the Forum, placed an order for my Telluride SXP with NF at the end of August, so I know I'm at the beginning of the journey. Shout out to Stephen Cantrelle who was gracious enough to steer me to two North Texas Kia dealers not charging premiums over MSRP. Solid guy....

So asked my Kia sales person regarding status of my order, probably not detailed enough, but I will learn through the great insights via this forum. Here is what I got back:

"Looks like there are just 3 SXP w/Nightfall packages in front of you at this time.
Shipments don't necessarily arrive every week, alot depends on getting trucks to come west from the port. With COVID issues and weather, it's been sparse.
KFOS orders are based on allocation and when that allocation comes up. Every dealership is allotted a certain amount of units per model and trim, based on current and projected sales. The oldest on the list will get the priority when that allocation happens. Some units will just slip right in if there is a car being built that matches a specific order.
Current wait times are averaging about 2-3 weeks before they get picked up vs couple months last year.
Hopefully that will help answer your questions."

What should I be asking to get a more accurate response?

That's pretty much as accurate as you are going to get until your VIN is produced and even then the time could vary. Patience is definitely key. I ordered my SXP with Nightfall at the end of July. Welcome to the waiting game.

Thanks NightRider.....every day I get better insight into what you and other potential (and now current) Telly owners have gone through. Just trying to learn from everyone's experiences.

New to forum and can not figure out how to pose a question?

Wondering if anyone noticed glare of two lines in drivers side mirror from the side trim of the car? Goes away with window down. Thanks
This is the closest topic I recall with a similar complaint. Problem was that the interior dash was reflecting off the window making it difficult to see the side rearview mirror.

Reflections on Outside Mirrors

Did you have your front windows tinted? Using tint material that is too glossy/reflective only makes the situation worse.

No. I have not noticed that. It could be because our seat adjustments are probably different, but I am not seeing a glare.

Yesterday while out I found that the reflection is coming from the chrome air vent left of steering wheel. I covered the vent with my hand and reflection in mirror disappeared. I suspect the same issue on passenger side. Not good. Will have to take sandpaper and remove beautiful sheen on chrome vents! No I am not that radical, but maybe a strip of electrical tape, so sad!

Nightfall for the win? First time I have heard the chrome was too shiny. :)

I don't think Nightall package does any blackout to the interior trim which is causing the problem described.

If this is an issue with stock (non-tinted) windows, one solution would probably be to change seating position so you are not looking at an angle where the reflection of the dash would be a problem.

Or use matte scotch tape to reduce the glare on the chrome vents?

Thanks, I will try different things today, after I apply for engineering job at KIA. Love the forum, I hope someone at KIA paying attention.

Oh I didn’t catch where the vents were. Thanks. I have my front windows tinted and don’t notice this. I also don’t drive much at the moment.

My windows are also tinted so maybe that’s why I am not seeing a glare.

Hi, the vent that is causing glare in drivers door mirror is left of steering wheel. It is trimmed in chrome. I have no tint on window.

Hello, thanks for the idea.

What I wish I could tear off and burn. The stylish rear spoiler. I have named it Eureka. Can't drive twenty miles without it trashing rear of vehicle with road grim.
