• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Picked up our 2021 SX yesterday and on way home (3 hour trip) notice the touchscreen was really hot to the touch. Any others have this issue? Normal for this unit? Thanks not sure if this was right thread to post to...newbie?

Welcome and congrats!

Oh.....well I’ve never noticed the touchscreen temperature in my S being hot. This doesn’t directly help you since it’s a different size screen and a different trim level. Good luck

My screen has never been hot to the touch, even after I've gotten into a hot car.

Maybe once in a while if your dash is in direct sunlight with the radio/gps running for a long period and you don’t keep your cabin temp cool enough.

But should not be hot to the touch every time you use it. You can also try the reset button by the volume knob using a pen or paper clip if you think the display is not functioning properly and overheating.

Last option could be a software update if you have the EX/SX trim.

Thanks. Just did about a 20 min run and was normal temperature. I'll just have to keep eye on it.

Experienced the same thing with our 2021 SX today. Have had it a little over two weeks. Was told it's normal & that the system would shut off it got too hot. Did you get your problem resolved? Live in the desert & can only imagine what this problem could be when it's late spring through summer!

That was my drive home from the dealership, it was 3 - 4 hours. It has not done since but the longest ride has only been about 40 minutes. I did call the dealer and he said if it happens again to bring in.

I just leased an ex 10 days ago and just yesterday I cant get my screeen to come on and I noticed yesterday and today the touchscreen was extremely hot to the touch, but a few hours later it had cooled off but the display screen wont show anything also it makes a light humming noise even when the car is off Iwill try the reset and see what happens...

I have a 2024 Telluride SX and the touchscreen got so hot I could not leave my hand on it. My car is now at the dealership. Any updates from anyone?

Similar thing happened for our 2024 X-Pro, touchscreen hot to touch, dealership could not reperform or diagnose and told to keep an eye on it.

Question: Has anyone tried to measure the (hot) surface temperature and record a video to show dealership? That way you can have them go back to the OEM to tell you what the normal surface temperature is and use that as proof for a warranty claim.
