Does dealership size affect order/delivery time?

I have spoken to 2 smaller dealerships who said they could order me a SX nightfall/prestige but it would be minimum 4 months, maybe 6 months. very vague about the timeline and one dealer even said "if Kia picks up the order" implying that they might not. what?
Spoke to a large dealership who was confident they could get what I wanted within 2 months based on how their orders have been filled the last few months. Is this too good to be true? Is it because of the size of the dealership? they want 3k above MSRP and the smaller dealerships will sell it at MSRP.

Yes; use Failcat and search the dealership by zip code to see how many units they have.
