• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just landed a really nice Certified 2020 EX (gray on gray) with the Premium Package but wondering now if the extra $6-8k would've been money well spent. Anyone been there and care to share? We replaced our 2013 CX-9 Grand Touring and so far love the Telly but little things like no Home-link and a pretty good-but-not great stereo are starting to make me question our choice of trim. Thanks in advance.

Every review suggest going for the sx trim and I wouldn't argue against it! If it had even more, I would of went for them.

Only you can decide if the extras are worth the price. Since you have a 2020, 21 has added bonus of remote start via fob.
Price for 2021:
EX-P AWD : $42510
SX AWD : $45615
SX-P AWD : $47915
$3105 and $5405 difference.

The reality in Austin is that a used 20 EX (10K miles) is going for $42k and a loaded 21 SX is more like $57k+. I test drove one MSRP-stickered at $53k but dealer price was $63k. Wondering if that extra kit is worth the $10-20k.

If buying out of state is not your option, try Classic Kia,TX. I think they charge like $695 dealer fee on top of MSRP but it is better than $10k mark up. @StephenCantrelle is our forum rep, so contact him for any questions.

I don't think I've heard/seen (I could be wrong) anyone that got an SX that wished they would have settled for the EX....but I do see a few folks that wished they went with the SX instead, or at least started customizing it more to look like an SX.

Just my .02

Your $0.02 is worth a buck.

Originally ordered an EX-P w/NF and had a change of heart and went to an SX (opted out of Prestige) and it feels like a much better value. Once you add the Premium and NF packages to an EX you're only ~$2k away from a "base" SX. You will also have a sour taste in your mouth because the Premium package is $1,700 and part of that goes towards 20-inch allow wheels that you'll never receive because you've then upgraded to the NF black 20" wheels.

Snagged this from an old post, here is everything you get by going to an SX vs EX:

- Black wheels with upgraded Michelin tires
- LED Fog lamps
- Reverse tilt down side mirrors
- Dual Sunroofs
- Harman Kardon Stereo Upgrade
- High Beam Assist
- Blind Spot View Monitor - with upgraded dash display
- Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror w/ HomeLink
- 12-Way Power-Adjustable Driver's Seat, w/ 2-Way Power Lumbar Support
- Driver's Seat Integrated Memory System
- Stainless-Steel Pedals
- Front Parking Distance Warning
- Surround View Monitor
- Memory Seats

Ah yes, the memory seats--which I've had in sub-25k cars for a decade. This is compelling, especially knowing the trade-in value on used.

Of the features I listed, Memory Seats and Front Parking distance sensors would be the first I'd pick to be available on lower trim levels. I have both in an 8 year old Pilot.

I went with the EXP and have no regrets. I do wish it had memory seats like pretty much every other competitor offers on lower trims. Other than that, it's adequately equipped and to me, the upgrades on the SX are just fluff. I'm glad I saved the $3k.
I don't care what people say about the value, etc. $3k is $3k. If you're financing, it's more money that you're saving and getting the same car. Take your $3k and go buy a nice little fishing boat or something if you wanna spend it.

Just don't turn around and spend the $3k back trying to retrofit SX LED's or wrap to make it nightfall. :)

I have a 21. Mine has led headlights. I spent $200 to wrap part of my grill. Got the look I'm going for. I also don't need to spend my weekends cleaning black wheels to keep them looking sharp.

I literally just did the same thing. Had a EX-P with NF ordered and realized for $1,500 more I could get the base SX. I also realized I can’t live without my memory seats. How has Kia not added them to lower trim levels???

Now to wait even longer since my EX was in production...

I would go SX for sure but I needed bench... so KIA you listening?
I thought the 2021 SX-P allowed you to choose b/t Captain's Chairs and bench?

In the United States, the only way to get a bench on a Telluride is to get an LX, a base EX, or a 2020 S with the optional bench (that option was removed for 2021).

S, EX with Premium, and any SX are all captains only.
