• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Front-End Friday

Happy Belated Front-End Friday y'all !! ;)

Malibu, CA parked in front of "Real Coconut" which is a great description of the people who live in "The 'Bu" :ROFLMAO:

Parking lot of my regular weekday sunset hangout, Neptune's Net. It's an iconic PCH spot for biker gangs, car clubs and tourists on the weekends so I avoid Saturday/Sunday afternoons at all costs. Plus, you'll get brake checked 900+ times by tourists in cars who see a nice view and slam on their brakes to take a selfie in the middle of the highway. I'm not kidding.

Weekdays are awesome because y'all can park wherever y'all want to park and there's no line of people crowded inside wondering where Paul Walker and Vin Diesel sat during that afternoon scene in the original Fast and the Furious movie when Paul Walker's character says something about not being able to pay for the delicious peel-and-eat shrimp. Spoiler alert: Vin Diesel's character pays for the shrimp. This movie came out decades ago and y'all should have seen it by now. :ROFLMAO:
The ones that haven’t seen the movie must not live there life a quarter mile at a time 😉
😂
P.s. keep the pics coming

Hahahah I love it! :ROFLMAO:

The Vin Diesel school of acting = repeating what Paul Walker says in a deeper cooler more menacing voice ;)

Paul: "Dude I almost had you." :ROFLMAO:
Vin: "You almost had me? You never had me. You never had your car."

TGIFEF !!! :D

Where did all the Front-End Friday energy go? Did I spam this thread/forum with too many of my non-Friday FEF photos? ;)

Let's GO Telly Owners !! :)

love how u put that on the plate!!! I'm gonna steal that idea!
Have at it!

What can I say, I'm an innovator.😂😂

I even remedied the weak part of the Telluride front end, that weird silver part of the grille that doesn't really match anything.

Enjoy your new ride!

Awesome. Is that bolted/welded/mounted somehow to the frame?

I want to create a secure but easy to remove system for front end accessories that hook onto the frame: maybe a light-snowplow attachment to the front of Kelly the Telly so I can get into some snowy fields easier, or is this just crazy talk? :)

That’s crazy talk

It's bolted to frame at only 2 points. I feel like it could/should be secured better. But it's held up fine, and i really got it for looks not functionality.

Where did you buy it. It looks awesome 👍🏻

Well, if you're going to have a front license plate, this is how you do it !!! :D

Y'all are awesome !!

Happy belated FEF @NDBlackEX and to everyone else supporting this !!

did the place you bought that from have any snow/road debris plows that attach at two or three or hopefully four or more points?

Dark Moss and Aluminum and Black SX Wheels and snow in the background. Wow! What a handsome ride!

What color interior?

Please say Dune to the Moon hahah!

🐶 🔜 🌖
Black interior. Sorry to disappoint! Also have tux mats and carpet cargo mats.

No disappointment here. Black is great. My Telly would be an oven if I had black interior here but for the snowier parts of the country, lookin' sharp.

Glad you like your Tux mats. My dislike of them is my issue and I'm definitely in the minority opinion. Y'all love them :)

The OEM Carpeted Cargo Mat with Seat Back Protection? I have one too! I can't recommend this product enough. In fact, I think it should really come standard on the Telly and people can put whatever additional protection on top of it because it's not thick at all :)

Thanks. I got it from CarID on eBay. It actually had a part # for a 2019 Santa Fe, but it fit rather perfectly (other than the two contact/bolt points). Just had to cut the splash guard.

@DarkMossJustin I didn't see anything like that on eBay or the CarID site, but I'm sure once you have a bar on, you can clamp something to the bars.

Appreciate you sharing that info. To save time and money, I'm going to check around CarID and a couple other sites to see if I can come up with something already made so I don't have to do anything drastic and over-the-top.

Otherwise, I'll have to accumulate some high-carbon/hardenable steel or really strong forged/billet aluminum, fire up the trusty HAAS CNC Machine, get the welding gear and nuts/bolts out of storage and make something that will work.

Telly wants to be a Bobcat in the mountains from time to time.

Imagine me rolling over Echo Summit with a parade of fugly Subaru Outbacks in tow, crawling up and down the grade. They would have to like me then, right?

The ultimate snowy mountain front-end: a DIY home-made snow plow mounted to the frame/front of a Dark Moss Kia Telluride. I hope I don't have to do this myself, but if I have to... :ROFLMAO:
