  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,

Currently car shopping and have decided to go with either the Telluride (EX or SX) or the Palisade. We live in the Atlanta, GA area and if anyone knows of a good deal near us it would be real helpful!

(Note we have a friend that works at Hyundai and can get us the friends and family discount)

There is a Kia dealership in Woodstock that is worth a shot. It’s a large dealership and relatively new. The dealership in Cumming is also good. I bought mine from Ed Voyles on Cobb Parkway. Not a good experience at all.

If you go for the Palisade the people at the Hyundai dealership in Roswell are good. It’s a very small dealership though.

Thanks for the info. Was dealing with Rick Case last week since they double the 100,000 miles/ 10 year warranty but they only had an EX in Black and my wife refuses to buy that color. Will check them out.

How do you like yours? What model?

I bought my SX from Ed Voyles Kia in Chamblee. My salesman was James McCoy. I think they were pretty straightforward with the pricing and much less than a couple other dealers I got pricing from. I’d skip dealing with Jim Ellis Kia. They wanted to add on $4800 “safety” package and I just walked at that point. But honestly, I didn’t get pricing from a lot of dealers though since very few had any SX’s in stock when I was searching. Mine was ordered by someone else and the person backed out of the deal the day I was at Ed Voyles which was a few weeks before it was going to be delivered. Got it first week of May.

I’ve got a white one also. Never thought I’d own a Kia but I’m liking it a lot.

SX? In all honesty I prefer the EX (8 seats) but my wife is insistent we get the surround view camera. I have always been a Toyota person myself (had my current corolla for 17 years but with a second kid on the way it is no longer big enough). But when I test drove an EX it was like driving my living room sofa around and at that point I knew I was either going with that or a Palisade.

I’m a Toyota guy also but I wanted to try something new and I don’t like the Toyota offering of late. Took a chance. So far very happy.

I went back and forth on the EX vs SX. The deciding factors for me were the duel sunroofs, surround camera, memory seats (ex doesn’t have em) and better sound. Oh and I like the black wheels. All that for a few grand more, worth it to me.

Same about Toyota these days even the 2020 Highlander is unimpressive to me after seeing the Kia. Bouncing back and forth between those 2 as well. Ex has bench second row which I prefer. SX has surround camera which the wife prefers. At the end of the day we will likely go SX.
