2 weeks ago - weather widget and HD radio Doppler weather working.

If you see the Foreca logo, you weren't using HD radio weather services.

Whenever you updated to v14 software, you lose that option completely. Only way to have HD radio weather is if you kept your software stock with v13 when buying the car (if the dealer didn’t already update it).

Trust me - it did work. I tested it.
There is still a button for it on current software versions. You go to hd radio data or something like that.

Maybe someone with uVO active can find the button and confirm.

Edit - adding some pics. Very suspicious how the traffic and the gas prices work but not the radar...

Also note I am referring specifically to the radar feature... not HD weather showing in the weather pane.

I still have an active UVO subscription with v14.5 software.

HD radio doppler doesn’t load anything. Gas and Traffic works. HD Radio weather was never an option for me after updating the software to Foreca weather.

I intentionally checked if it still functioned after I updated and it did. Or I am getting old and reality vs. my memory aren’t quite the same thing! I used the radar when we have large snowstorms and checking the phone was not a safe option.

Still a pretty rare use case and I’ll get by without it.

Kind of want to subscribe to UVO and see if it suddenly works again...

Yea, the split screen fix was nice - in theory; but in reality I'm finding it too is kind of useless. Most of the split screen options are redundant or otherwise not relevant; except for maybe the weather function. Which takes some extra effort to get enabled (not bad), but once you do - all it says is the outside temperature; it doesn't actually display weather info any more - making it kind of useless too. Of everything related to the update, that really is my biggest dissapointment.

As to blues reply... eh, probably not the life-of-the-party guy. Ah well.

Agreed, very disappointed in the HD weather going away as well.

Anyone has been able to get in the engineer mode since this update? I have tried everything I found and was not able to get to get in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they took away the engineering mode as the old one was useless anyway. App loading was somewhat available to early models of Stinger, but was taken away very quickly. Rooted/JB phone using hacked method will able to display (almost) any app via AA/CP.

Yes I am a bit disappointed. The problem with JB the iPhone is that I am using it for corporate access so it’s enrolled with intune which prevents me from Jailbreaking my iPhone. So that’s why I have been looking to see if there’s a way to sideload. Would have been nice to be able to use video feed from the rv trailer for example and couple of other things nice to do with this Android system.

Checked the doppler radar again while waiting in the car for for wife. Seems to be working now.

It’s not mid-April yet. Check back on the 12th… as long as 15.0 gets released then as promised, there will be plenty of info at that time.

So 2022 Kia Stinger, UVO APP provides live video feed of the 360 Cameras. It's a gimmicky feature but I wonder if this has to do with activating the 360 Cameras to record while driving, as dash cams.

It would be awesome if we got that as an update. Along with the Sorento feature of sending a picture of the car’s surroundings to the app.

I'm not planning to upgrade to today's release since I still have 3-panel and really don't like the new UI. But I'd love to learn if they added widescreen Android Auto. I would have expected it to be included in the change list (if they added it), so I am not hopeful.
