  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Since we are finally getting closer to the end of our Covid constraints, we have decided that it's time to look for a new vehicle, something good for long distance travel. We miss seeing the grand kids and we always loved a good road trip. Time to get out and see more of this great country of ours. After much research I think the Kia Telluride is the way to go. Has the looks and fits the bill. The safety features will make my wife happy as I (we) aren't spring chickens anymore. The only reservations I have of the vehicle are the longevity questions surrounding the GDI fuel system, and the warranty helps alleviate some of those concerns. Glad to join this online group of enthusiasts. Now I just have to find one (or order one) here in Texas without the Dealer markup BS.

Fellow Texas owner; there are dealers in Texas that don’t charge over MSRP. Check out the good dealer thread; plenty of info there.

Where in Texas are you? Anywhere near Premier Kia of Carrollton @StephenCantrelle ?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! What might the Telluride be replacing for you?

AWD? FWD?

Trim levels you're considering?

What exterior colors are you liking so far?

Aluminum/Chrome accents or NFE?

Dune to the Moon? :)

The Telluride will be replacing a 2010 Mazda CX-7. Its been a very dependable car, but it's getting a little long in the tooth, so it's time.

Yes we live in north Texas, not too far from Carrolton.

If you're going for a local dealer at MSRP + tax/title/licence, they could be a great option for you.

Maybe give @StephenCantrelle at Premier Kia of Carrollton a call sometime this coming week to find out how long the line is? :)

Dealerships selling our high-demand Tellurides at MSRP are in high-demand, and if you have transportation in the meantime, and most importantly the patience to wait a few months or so, this could be a great route for y'all.

If you want to drive your Telly from Northern California back to Texas on an amazing road trip to break her in, I can recommend a great place that sells at MSRP but I'm hearing that wait is much longer for top trims than when I ordered in August 2020 :)

I really like the espresso brown leather interior and the sangria exterior. I think the colors we would like the best aren't available. So perhaps an sx awd with the dark moss exterior with the espresso brown interior. One of the features I really would like is the HUD, and I don't know that it's available with this combination. Although when I went to look at the Telluride at a dealers to see it in person I was shown a copper black with butterscotch interior and it had a heads up display. It was a 2021 just in to the lot and looked really good, but no AWD. Was this some kind of unicorn or can you get one with butterscotch interior with a Hud?

The HUD is a Prestige package option

I noticed that you went from the dark brown Espresso interior to the lighter Butterscotch interior.

You know that if you go HUD in the Prestige Package, there's an exclusive medium-brown color for the Nappa Leather Seats that's unavailable for any other trim level except SX-Prestige.

If you go this route, you'll also have the exclusive, upscale, cozy dark dark gray premium microfiber headliner that even covers the A-pillars and part of the B-pillars, unavailable on any other trim level...

Behold the exclusive and awesome Dune to the Moon!
