• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Front Runner Slimline 2 Platform Roof Rack (Prototype)

Yeah. I see some nice photos of Telly in your IG. I am also wondering with the RTT on the rack, does it have space to put an awning?
Yes plenty of room for one. I just mounted it up yesterday. Here is a quick pic of it.

@Alonzo_Tigerhart What size rims/tires do you have on your tellruide and do you have a lift kit? Thanks for answering our questions too! I'm pumped for the rack to hit the market.

Raceline Scout 18x8 +35
Nitto Ridge Grappler 265/65
Truxxx lift kit 2”

Yea definitely I don’t mind. I always looked for answers on here or sucks when you can’t get any or no one helps out. I had to do a lot of stuff on my own to get my rig the way I want.

I also have the 5th wheels swing out from RiGd Supply coming this month too.

So you are gonna have a full size spare tire/rim off the back. I think it’ll look very good with direction of look you are taking your telluride

Thanks!

I will mostly have it on for when we go on trips. We rarely drive the truck around since I work at home and also have a company car. When camping season is over it will be taken off and stored until next season.

Been looking at this as well. Please post lots of pics, cant wait to see it!
Sill do, I hope to get it by end of the month. My cousin has it and I’ve seen it in person on a few other trucks and it’s awesome. I got it with the table mount for cooking. They are working on a remodel for RotoPax mounting too that I want.

Wish I can change this thread title to just be all about my overland build. Anyone know how to do that?

Just a heads up to everybody, looks like Rhino-Rack finally supports the Telluride for their Pioneer platform. The only option is 60 x 54 though so I think the Front Runner that @Alonzo_Tigerhart has been working on is the better option for me
The 10” difference from Rhino Rack’s 60” platform to Front Runner’s 70” platform is major. Especially when supporting a 74” RTT. Also looks better. In my previous pic I had a 62” rack but still looked too small. Also going wider is something I didn’t want the 49” wide is plenty and doesn’t stick out.

Once I hear from Front Runner I will let you all know.

Your Telluride build makes me jealous, its exactly what I would do to my mine if I lived in a overlanding friendly area... I'll just live through you. Although I'm getting the slimline once it comes out, I'd love to be able to throw a fully loaded cargo box and a kayak on the roof without going past the weight capacity limits.

I was at Front Runner on Friday and we spent about 4 hours with their prototype team and in their shop. Here is the design they are looking for approval for retail.
It’s 49in wide and about about 71in long. It has a total of 9 slats.

Here is a progression of the different rack sizes I’ve been trying with them for almost 3 months.

I don’t have part numbers since it’s a prototype, but this is the final design. Once this has been approved it will be available on their website.

Great rack. Front Runner is the best! What is the length dimension of the final design? Is there space to mount FR's shovel ratcheting mount on the rear of the rack or will the hatch collide with a shovel when opening? Or are there other issues with the roof antenna?

70” x 49”. There is room for all that the rack stop about where the antenna starts. I want to do an antenna delete because I want to have the Front Runner table mount that goes under the rack installed and that’s the only place for it. Bedsides that the antenna isn’t an issue.
