• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Android Auto wasn't working for me because of continuous reboots. I tried several cords, and all didn't solve the issue. They all work in my wife's Honda though. I then bought an iphone and it did the same thing. I took it to the dealership and they have contacted KIA engineering now. Waiting to hear what's next.

I have a question about Android Auto. I assume you can use google maps. Can you add, change destinations etc. while in motion. I don't think you can make manual entries on the regular Nav while in motion and wondered about the AA Google maps.

Just got my vehicle yesterday. I was shocked android auto was not wireless. Is there a way to play Spotify from phone through bluetooth without connecting to android auto? I don't want to have to plug my phone in every time I get in the car to listen to my music. Surely on a vehicle that costs 50k+ I can do this?? help!
Yes Bluetooth audio works, just press the media button next to the hazards. There is also a dongle you can buy from CPLAY2air wireless adapter for factory CarPlay

I just bought a new android phone and their are no wire connectivity with newer phones. Kia needs to upgrade to wireless android auto.
Every Android device that supports Android Auto can be plugged in if that’s what the car requires. Most recent phones also support wireless Android Auto, but of course the car needs to offer that functionality. The Telluride doesn’t, so you have to plug in.

Your phone's charging port(type c on newer phones) to USB type A(Telluride data port) is cable you need for AA. If your phone charging cable is not these connectors, simply buy a new cable from Amazon. Buy a quality data cable to ensure good connectivity.

I tried a couple of cables, including purchasing one that others said worked for them, I still have limited functions on an app like Waze. Is this a common problem related to using that app with Androids in the Telluride?

Maybe you're expecting Android Auto versions of apps to be the same as the Android version that you're familiar with? The Android Auto versions are often simpler and with less features.

As @aperry stated above, AA apps are often watered down version of the actual app. As for Waze, I did not see any noticeable inconveniences on AA side. Which functions were you missing? BTW, missing features are limitation of AA, not cable or the car.

I guess I was expecting a mirror version of my Android, I know I have to unplug the phone to change a destination then re-plug it in, I have to look into it more, it shouldn't be that involved to use some of the features.

I think you can do this with voice commands (and Google's voice recognition is miles ahead of Kia's). In general I agree that AA has gone a little too far in removing simple things, like the ability to read a simple text message (rather than always playing it audibly).

Got it back from the dealer, and android auto is finally fixed. Replacing the wiring harness to the USB panel did it. Apparently they have been getting pinched during assembly.

Good info 👍
