  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 7 months and waiting...

We placed an order for an EX on 8/19/20 at our local dealership in Richmond, VA and still no word. I only have a receipt for the deposit. Can’t tell if it was ordered through KFOS or Kdealer. Any advice for what to do next?
 
You should ask the dealer where you are in the EX waitlist and whether you have been put into Kdealer yet. If they have entered you into Kdealer (basically a pre-order if I understand it), they should be able to give you a printout of something showing you are in Kdealer.
 
If your order is in KFOS then there is a date for delivery. If not in KFOS, then it would make me think the order was not put in. Either way your dealership needs to give you more information. After waiting 7 months I would be questioning them for some answers.
 
That’s some great restraint and patience to go seven months and not hear anything… I would start with your dealer.

I also have been waiting since August based on an order from West Broad —not sure if it’s the same dealership. They set my expectation that they had a long list so it would be 5-8 months. I recently got updated that it was expected this month and pushed to next. My vin appeared on failcat in Feb. I would definitely call the dealership and ask. In my case, they didn’t always have an answer but they were responsive. Hopefully, it’s soon for both of us. Good luck!
