Just noticed a change in the SX Options

Back when I ordered my SX (in Aug 2020), the Tow Package was listed but rear seat entertainment system said "coming soon". Now, when I look at SX options on the Kia web site, the Tow package says "coming soon" but the rear seat entertainment system appears to be available.

Not that I would get a rear seat entertainment system, but can anyone confirm whether that options is now available and whether the Tow Package isn't currently? Or is this just a typo on the Kia web site?

When I loaded the Telluride build page just now, indeed the "coming soon" is removed from the entertainment system option, but I still see the same towing option as before. Are you sure you're on the SX trim? I think I remember seeing "coming soon" on Tow hitch for LX or S. Chrome browser on Win 10.

Ah, I see what's going on. The "Towing Package" is still there for +$795 as always, but if you scroll down, you now see "Tow Hitch/ w Harness (coming soon)" (For $475). I'm wondining if that's a tow hitch without self-leveling shocks, etc. I.E. A tow hitch and harness only but with less towing capability? Just guessing.

I think Tow Package is the same as Tow Hitch w/Harness, but includes the Self Leveling Suspension. The Self Leveling Suspension shouldn’t change towing capacity I would not think.

Maybe the Tow Hitch without the suspension is “Coming Soon” due to limited parts availability. I don’t think it always had that status.

Saw photos of the monitors in your other post/thread. How do you like them? They only play DVDs and memory card videos?

I posted in a separate thread about them so far. Safe to say they are basically junk.

no WiFi in the car makes them worthless as there is no DVD option. You cannot sync them. So if want to watch same thing need to run HDMI with a splitter or be really good at pressing play at exact same time (in order for car stereo to sync as it can only play from one tablet feed obviously).

you also cannot control anything from the front and if you use apple products you are more or less SOL when it comes to anything wireless.

And when I say junk it’s just insane how limited they are for the cost. iPads and mounts are 100% more effective.
Now with some tinkering you can make these work well. But for what you paid having to custom configure it feels absurd is all.
That said once I have wires hidden and set up properly (Apple TV permanently installed) my kids will love the hell out of it.
