• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What have you done / plan to do to your Telly?

Shhhhh. Don’t mention Subaru Outback with @DarkMossJustin around. 😂

that’ll be neat to see what you come up with. What are your plans for use of it?
Having a rear shelf is extremely useful for organizing. Also it's easy to access items from 2nd row without bending over. You can put hooks under the shelf for hanging grocery bags....

Post some pics when you finish this project

After two weeks of waiting for parts on special order, my Kia OEM hitch, 7-pin harness, and tow hitch cover are set to arrive at my place on Tuesday...

So that's my next project
Where did you get the 7 pin? How was the install.

Thanks!

7-pin is OEM part for 2021, but not for 2020 Telluride(s). The part number is S9F67-AC500 , but it won't work on a 2020 Telluride.

The install was relatively easy. I did encounter one issue with a 'frame rail weld nut' that required the use of a thread tap to clean up enough for the bolt to tighten down. But other than that issue it was pretty straight forward

I got my parts from Tasca Parts... my local dealer wanted $400 for the hitch by itself

Where did you pick them up?
Etsy. DarksideRacingArt. They are overlays, didn't want to mess with removing the emblems. Was able to get in a grey that matches the wolf grey pretty well.

I should probably also add, that I don't currently have a Brake Controller, so the 7-pin really isn't doing much right now. The 2021 models do have wiring that goes all the way into the cabin, under the dash... a brake controller can easily be hardwired in, but the controller itself isn't a part of the kit... effectively everything but the actual controller is included.

I'll be using a 7-pin converter until I have an actual need for electric brake controller . I just wanted to be partially prepared for the day when I need the 7-pin trailer connection.

I will be getting a 21', so hopefully I'm all set, but when I saw they didn't have a 7 pin on earlier threads I was disappointed, happy to hear this. Thanks!

Yeah, if a 2021 comes with the hitch from the factory, it should have the 7-pin on it already, there should also be a small harness in the glovebox, that has four wires and a molex connector , that can be used to connect a brake controller, as well as a manual/document that explains some of the hitch related information.

Great, I would like a break controller if it doesn't come with it. I really appreciate the advice. We have the tow package so it should be all good.

Mod Thursday is now complete...
-Got my cargo mat and cargo cover installed
-light smoke tinting to the tail lights (not
perfect job but gotta get up close to see
the flaws).

Gonna order some fog/DRLs and install next week then I'm done until its time for new tires (figure about a year) then its Truxxx 2" lift, spacers and some bigger tires (on stock rims)

*** forgot I have a hood protector (canadian version) and front lettering for it due in next week.

Looks nice.

I can see you rolling around down south, old ladies on the road seeing all your NY stuff just thinking in their head "bless his heart"

Oh the fun of being a yankee in the south
