• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So yesterday, when I turned on my wipers - the front wipers AND rear wiper came on - even though the switch for the rear wiper was set to off. I tried turning it on and off a few times and the rear wiper seemed to be linked exactly to the main wiper switch. After driving around a while, with the wipers off, I tried it again and the problem went away. Weird.

If you have the “rear wipers on in reverse gear” in the driver assist settings in the instrument cluster, this might be the explanation if you were backing up. Usually it is only a single wipe when active, even if rear wipers are in off position.

Maybe a glitch from that feature if you had that setting enabled while in drive.

Hmm - I tried to find such a setting and could not find it.

Ah yes, there it is. I’m 99% sure that’s what was going on. A feature I didn’t know I had. Thanks.
