Telluride sx lift and larger tires

I think you were looking for how much the tires stick out? Straight on, it's hard to see anything. The tires don't stick out much. Just enough to tell the world that these are not stock. BTW, if you have mud flaps, you may have to take them off.
I did the opposite, did not have mud flaps and because my new wheels stick out a bit I bought new mud flaps from weathertech; So far so good, they look a bit "truckier" than the OEMs and I just love them for that since these are actually functional, by the way, the tires do not rub on them at all, it's just a little spot in the back side of the well where the tires barely touch when full turn.

Nice! I dont have mud flaps so im good. I cant get the lift done till 4/30 but really want to get the Black Rhino Arches 17x8 with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/65 tires on now. Does it really make a difference with the 2" lift? I've read around and it seems like it will wouldn't matter?

Nice, are those 17" wheels? Sorry I've gotten lost in all the threads... It looks like you Alex also have the exact setup I'm getting ready to do with Black Rhino Arches 17x8 with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/65R17. I'm assuming no rubbing for you if you have those specs?

Yes they are 17", my tires are a bit different though, 245/70/R17 probably going with 65 will avoid any rubbing.

Really like this setup. Do you have any more pics? Also, is it a 265/50/R20 or a 255/55/R20?
It's 265/50/20. I wanted 255/55/20 for more diameter but my tire guy couldn't get them. I originally wanted to go 18" Black Rhino Warlord or Ridge but nobody had them.

Just installed! I kind of nicked the paint rim around the rear emblem as you can see in the picture but I figure just a little sanding and touch up paint later? Black Wheels next!

Really interested in your setup. I think we want to retain our factory sx p nightfall rims so your set up intrigues me the most. Im gonna go try to find most of your posts as im sure most of my questions will be answered, but do i need to know about in regards to the truxxx lift? Ive seen stuff about sway bars. Ill take it somewhere for instal so want to make sure i get exactly what is needed and pass on the exact info needed to do it correctly. Thanks

So so went with a 20x9 +38 offset
255/55r20 duratrecs. They installed lift and tried to install one tire on rim and they are saying it is rubbing. Also they won't take off mud guards as it's "bodywork" smh, so need to take off myself and try another shop.

i see that both sizes are available for the toyo tires. I want to retain the factory nightfall rims. Is one size better than the other if both are available?

THE 255/55/20 will give you more sidewall and a bigger total wheel diameter. If you're not going to install the lift kit, definitely go with the 265/50/20.

Thank you. Plan on doing the lift first, then the tires. Just want to make sure i get the right set up

Thanks to the post below I have a couple of projects to do, license plate and reverse LED lights.

Did both of those with the same bulbs. Looks much better!

The Toyo's look great! Much more aggressive than OEM. Did you notice any more road noise with them? How is the ride compared to stock?

Hey all, how is noise and fuel economy affected going from the stock 245/60R18 Michelin tires to Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/65 tires? Lift kit installing this week and still not 100% on optimal AT tire. Also, would I get better fuel economy going 18" wheels rather than 17"? I want to keep noise down.

I'm out of state at the moment but this is my 17" setup with Toyo AT III 265/65. At first they were rubbing at full lock but they don't anymore.
Does it really affect the gas mileage? I'm thinking 245/65/R17 now to maintain fuel economy.

Astron is running the same size tires that I am, but I have Falken Wildpeak and never had rubbing issues. Just goes to show that tire sizes vary a bit between manufacturers. My specs are in my signature line. View attachment 18004
I never asked you how your fuel economy is now? I'm starting to think sticking with 245/65/R17 may save me a lot. Are you still getting 24mpg highway?

Yes, lost ~ 2 MPG in city driving which I mostly do. Was averaging between 20-22. Now, depending on whether or not I'm in sports mode or not, I'm seeing around 18-20 MPG in city. Long drives also took a hit about 22-23 MPG now. Was easily getting 25+ before. Road noise levels are very acceptable with the Open Country A/T III.

It's a trade off that I'm willing to take for the versatility of driving in snow.

I lost about 2mpg and it accelerates slower. Unsprung weight is the enemy of Go and Woah. Look up the weight of the wheel and tires for 17 and 18 inch, but I don't think you'll see a big difference in mpg between the two. But being able to air down more when on the trails is worth it for me. Road noise is, of course, louder with the Wildpeaks, but not annoyingly so. I had the Wildpeak Trail for several months on my 20", and it wasn't much louder than the Michelins. Not at aggressive as the AT3W, but still snow rated and good enough on dirt roads. I got the AT3W because of the extra sidewall protection and they look cool .
