• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What year do you have? I keep seeing reference to the accessorides compustar module. Is this compustar a factory item or something people are adding after since 2020 does not have remote start. I have a 2021 sxp. Do i have this accessorides compustar module?

Also, the proximity module came with bith switches to the “off” position. Just want to make sure that is correct?

Accessorides does not apply unless you've installed one aftermarket. You will have to follow the original instructions(printed or post 1) to install. I don't remember what the default dip switch settings were, but you shouldn't have to mess with it at all.

Normal installation or Accesoride? Can you go over the wires one more time? Are the LED's lighting up on the module? Does lock/unlock work with remote/door switch?

Update... It works fine. I forgot a step.

Thank you. That is what i thought after the more i read the more i confuse myself i guess. Just wanted to make sure before attempting this!

UPDATE... I'm just stoopid. Tried it before I got the EM11 put back in place.. Works like a charm now that I put everything back together correctly.
What instructions did you follow? What went wrong?

Lith_SXPN thanks for clarifying that my installation was for the 2020 Accesoride.com KFOB Remote Start with Takeover only.

Thanks for all your help here with this install and support here (y)

He should have been following the printed instruction(or pdf from post #1). EM11 is the connector you unplug to tap the wires. If you don't plug it back in, car will not function as expected. ;)

I forgot to plug the actual Telly module back in place. Just got carried away...ahead of myself.

I honestly haven't been following this thread too closely and missed that you can tap into the accessorides remote starter with takeover. Even though mine is already installed I love the idea of not touching any other factory wiring and will start dissembling my glovebox again this weekend. Hoping it can be done without disconnecting anything but also not the end of the world.

So does that mean if my Telluride came with remote start from the factory. Which my understanding is that this was new for the 2021 year. It can be wired on the passenger side? Little confused. I’ve seen a few different install guides here. If someone can elaborate. Thanks

thats what i was confused about above and i think the answer was that if you have a 2021 that came with factory remote start, you need to follow the installation instructions from post #1 and install it on the driver side. If you have a 2020 and had the accessorides remote start installed, you can install it on the passenger side where that is installed. thats the way i take it. ........

Correct. If you have not installed Accessorides aftermarket remote start, you will need to install the proximity module on the driver side(printed or post #1).

Do you remove the shrink wrapping?

Sounds good. By any chance any close up pics of the install?
What mine looks like almost installed. Kind of hard to tell but you can see the taps.

So my only suggestion is to be careful when removing the front door scuff plate. I think it comes off towards the rear of the car and not to the side. Broke a little piece of plastic at the back of it.

Other than that, seems to be working. Thanks

All done. All good. It works! (2021 SX Nightfall Edition with tow package)
note to Lith_SXPN: Having never used wire taps before, if you ever revise installation instructions,
please note adding "using the 20-22ga wiretape for the red and grey wires..."
Would be a great addition so we don't just stare at the wiring block thinking "how do I poke a wire in there at #4 and #9??"
(yup, my mind went there... need wire tapping for dummies book)
