2020 Telluride Electrical Problem after toll hitch light recall

Ever since I brought my Telluride in for a recall on the toll hitch lighting problem, my horn goes off by itself on occasion after I lock the vehicle remotely. Now I lost electrical to my front panel, including blinkers, and ride mode switch. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
 
Following!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have not perform the recall on mine due a lack of knowledge of my dealer service dept (KIA of Downtown LA, California) and because I don't have the tow hitch installed jet.

Hope you fix your issue soon.
 
My dealer updated me because of the TSB on my '20 even though I don't have tow. No problems at all in the last few months.

Same. I don’t have a tow hitch and I don’t trust they can mess with my wiring without causing more damage.

Last time they offered to perform this TSB, they said I should remind them to order the part in advance before I come in for my next service, so is it ready to install when I arrive. So I am just going to avoid bringing it up and hopefully it never gets done. I have zero plans to use my SXP for towing.

It looks like they found fault with my whole instrument cluster panel. They ordered a new one and will have to send it back out for calibration of the miles, which will take about 7-10 days. I only have 18k miles on it. This will be my last Kia!

Well, at least they found the problem and are fixing it. Hopefully you won't have more issues. Sounds like it was unrelated to the recall. Kia's major problem is it's dealerships and the service network - many service departments are just flat out terrible. And customer knows more about the TSBs than they do. I just hope to avoid the dealership as much as possible - although a couple of little problems are popping up now after 1.5 years that I will need to address. Still a great vehicle.
 
I’ve had the tow hitch safety recall done on my ‘20 Tellie and after a week don’t have power to my radio or infotainment system at all. Can’t connect to Kia mobile app for remote access anymore either. Also the battery is draining every day and need to jump start. It’s in the Kia shop now. They told me my radio is blown and need a new one for $800, although the radio has turned on then off again. Hopefully will add an update soon.

After I bought my in for the hitch problem my lift gate just pops open after I shut the car off and sometimes when it’s in park. And I can’t open the lift gate from the back. Any ideas?

After I brought my Telluride in for hitch problem my lift gate started opening in park, after I shut the engine off and I can’t open the lift gate from the back.
 
My experience on the harness recall was simply a fuse swap on the Trailer 1 fuse from 30A down to 15A and applying a sticker on the fuse box cover to match. But the dealer also performed the TSB on the Collision Assistance which came out at the same time and appears to update the ECU. I didn’t have any residual problems but is it possible that others reporting weird electrical issues are related to the other fix?
 
unlikely that a software download to the ecu would cause a radio to drain the battery or a lift gate malfunction.

Its always possible they can break unrelated things when doing maintenance though......
 
Thanks. My tail gate problem I found out is corrosion in the lift handle on the tailgate

Indeed I have. I took mine in for same recall work and have had to jump start it every day since. Dealer told me to kick rocks.

Any update with your issues? I'm having pretty much the same problems. My local dealership can't find any problems. I don't think they looked but that's just my opinion.
