Order to delivery time

Woohoo, I heard from my dealer today they have a letter from Kia that says they acknowledge my order and expect it to be delivered in 45 days I place the order on May 11th right before the cutoff for the prestige package

I placed my order for Moss Green EX AWD on 5/7 nothing yet. My dealer in KS says they placed 3 orders for Tellys on the 7th, nothing from anyone on it yet when I checked in a week ago.

Wish there was a little more informative way to see where our place in orders might me.

I ordered my Blk/Butter SX AWD with the light package on 5/28 I was told 30-60 days... My dealership had just received a custom order in less then 30 so fingers crossed.

3-4 months seems like the more reasonable wait time. Expecting anything less and we are all going to be pulling our hair out and frustrated. There may be a random order or so that is shorter than that, but this forum is showing that 3-4 is a more realistic wait time.

@Thedoc40tt not sure if it matters that my dealer was a bit smaller but the letter said that they were shifting priorities to fill customer orders before other allocations. Good luck on a fast delivery!

ordered my Black Copper SXP AWD with Dune Brown and towing on March 21. Got a call for ETA on June 26. I saw where MrJB got his and mine is same built so I know they are popping out the Black Copper now. Looks like 14 weeks from order date for mine to hit the lot.

Ordered a white SX Prestige AWD - Dune Brown with Tow Package on 29 March - checked today - dealer stated the order still showed “Pending” - initial was told hopefully 6-8 weeks but could be longer up to 90-100 days

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

I ordered a SX Dark Moss w/butterscotch yesterday, 6/1. I was told the prestige package is no longer available due to supplier issues with the Napa Valley leather trim. Was told it would take about 2 to 3 months.

I ordered the same vehicle except for the tow package on 5/11 and heard on 5/31 that it would be 45 days. I am in Texas, not sure if geography comes into play.

Upcharge or market adjustment perhaps? The price is usually negotiated at time of order. Typically, there isn't a market adjustment for an ordered car, but they may try to put dealer adds in there.

Correct...market adjustment. I spoke with two dealerships who had market adjustments (one an extra $6500 and the other an extra $8000) for in stock or on the way Tellurides. They both told me if I ordered one there would be no market adjustment. I then went back to place my order and they said it would be an extra $2500 market adjustment even though the sales person the day before said there would not be one. I am very patient when it comes to buying a car and will wait until I do not have to pay anything over sticker unless I can find a dealership who will let me order one now without the market adjustment.

Yes, call around - I talked with several dealerships - some wouldn't order, but many were willing to order at MSRP. You can do most by e-mail - just insist that the order has no "market adjustment" or "dealer adds" - and then they can earn your business. Of course you'll want to verify the dealer fees etc. Check here under good dealership experiences - and depending on your location maybe there is a good dealer nearby who can place your sold order. As we've written about on this forum, orders eat into dealer allocations - so that's why many dealers don't want to bother ordering - they'd rather get an unsold allocation and then sell it at the market price.
