  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have been looking for over 4 months for my Telluride! So many dealers were gouging on price. As much as $6,000 over MSRP.
So little inventory. 5-7 month waits. It was getting pretty daunting.
I looked at a few models that were low miles and 1 year old but dealers wanted to sell them at their original selling price. Crazy right? No depreciation.
Then I decided to do a more extensive reach for New and went into a 500-mile radius. I figured shipping would only be $300.
That was the right decision. Lots of inventory on the floor and was able to find a Dealer who sold me my vehicle at MSPR.
So happy with my EX. I wanted 18" wheels and a bench seat for the dog. Wanted black leather to hold up to wear and tear. Trailer hitch too.
No Nightfall for me. I am old school and wanted Chrome.

It was delivered yesterday from Buffalo NY to Grand Rapids Michigan.

Tell your friends still looking to try a wider search. It's an internet world and car buying has changed. At least for a new car from a reputable Kia dealer.

See you out on the roads.

Good stuff; glad you got what you wanted at a great price 👍

Right on that telluride is looking sharp. Glad you took the time to do your research and found what you were looking for that didn’t cost an extra arm or leg. Enjoy

Congratulations!
It’s been 2 years and demand still so high.
Wonder how it would 3 years when my lease is over.

Interesting you bought from east coast dealer from midwest. Most people do it the other way around as there are more dealers selling at MSRP around mw. Glad you found your perfect car, enjoy!

I think it may have been that we wanted an EX, 18" wheels with a bench seat. The SX is the most popular, at least in my area. Particularly the Nightfall editions. Ex Nightfall is popular but not the rave the SX is. My EX is a bit out of the mainstream and I think that helped with my availability and price. Safe travels.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Telluride! What did the Telluride replace for you? I'm glad you found us. :)

Replaced my Subaru Outback. Looked at the Subaru Ascent and it failed by comparison to the Telluride on almost all counts. Likewise the Honda Pilot, the Lexus RX 350L and the Toyota Highlander.
Highlander Hybrid was a close second because we do long haul driving and will put +150K miles on the car. A Kia Telluride Hybrid would have been ideal but there are always trade-offs. The Highlander is underpowered by comparison and noisier both engine and road noise. The EX has sound dampening windshield and side windows. Quiet matters on long trips as does comfort. The Telluride was also more comfortable overall. Particularly second and third rows. Telluride also cubes out better, particularly at the lift gate. Lastly. we wanted 18" wheels. 20s are more expensive, noisier, and not as comfortable a ride. People love the look tho. I take the ride and operating costs over the look.

Thank you for not buying a Subaru ASS-ENDt or another Outback.

You have already improved the overall aesthetics of your area! (y) :ROFLMAO:

I was all in with this reply till you got to ride comfort and noise. I have a 21 S with 20’s and this is the quietest and most comfortable ride I’ve ever had.

Just hit 5K miles. No issues at all.
Getting 27.8 mpg on the highway on my long trips from Michigan to PA. Pretty happy. And it is soooo quiet on the highway.
Only one observation. The windshield wipers. You can't just tilt them up to clean the windshield or leave them up when it snows. They are tucked under the lip of the hood.
This is annoying. Spring pollen makes a mess of my windshield and cleaning it has been a PIA with the location and lack of flexibility with the windshield wipers.
Give a thumbs up when we see each other on the road! Not too many of us Telluriders!!! To Hell We Ride! ;^)

Use wiper service mode… when you turn off the car, hold the wiper stalk up for a few seconds. The wipers will deploy. That way you can then pull them off the windshield safely without them hitting the hood.

Great story.....! Welcome to the forum! I have been driving my 2020 SX since November of 2019 and have 26k on the clock......it has been perfect and now I regularly get 27-28 mpg on long runs!!
