• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What have you done / plan to do to your Telly?

Nightfall had just one piece of brightwork and it just bugged me when I looked at the rear of the Telly. Took some time today to change that. Purchased some spray paint, removed the exhaust and made it look better. The paint actually almost an exact match to the window trim. I think this just looks so much better.

The Paint:

Scuffed the exhaust with a drill mounted scuff pad and four coats of paint:

Finished Project: I think this subtle change just looks so much better, no brightwork now.

I am just curious and gonna go out on a limb and ask but did you happen to check that spray paint for it being able to handle the heat/temperature of the exhaust. I know they make VHT high temp paints specifically for applications like exhaust, calipers, and engine components. I would hate to see all the hard work you put into making that exhaust look amazing get ruined by the paint eventually bubbling up and/or chipping off due to the high temps. Looks great that mod is on my long list of things to tweak

Here's my list and I am sure I am missinga couple things. Only had my Telluride since February.

*LED bulbs in reverse and tag lights
*Smartliner floor mats
*Tinted front 2 windows to match rear
*Tinted turn signals
*Tinted tail lights (still a work in progress) not 100% happy
*Front and Rear KIA badge replaced with 3.0 Klexus carbon fiber badges
*ALL lettering removed
*Carbon fiber fob cover
*Center console organizer added from 4-runner
*Carbon fiber A,B,and C pillars
*Carbon fiber inlays on steering wheel

More in store:
*New wheels with correct offset to bypass wheel spacers
*Crossbars and roof basket
*Exhaust either the Tork axle back or custom with electric cutout for straight pipe
*Finish wrapping interior in carbon fiber
*Eventually lowering it around 1"-1.5" if a company will ever produce lowering springs

I have used it before with no issues on three other cars I own. I run them hard so confident it will hold up.

Good deal. It looks freaking great. Would it also work on brake calipers or have you tried that yet?? I wanted to make sure you knew what you had going on since I didn't see any heat rating on the can. I know there are always noobs out there on any kinda forum looking for ways to improve their cars and sometimes they don't have anyone to guide them into making a correct call. I hate to see when so much effort is put into a project and something that could have been prevented wasn't mentioned. Loads of trolls out there giving bad advice.

Looks so much better. That was definitely a miss on Kia’s part.

You make a great point. I have been customizing my cars for years and make it a point to only post what anybody can DYI and have good results if they take their time and follow the instructions for the product or change. Happy Modding.

Applied as a single vinyl decal.

I just did my first 1000 mi. Oil and Filter change for the break -in. I used a new Kia filter and Penzoil Platinum

I really like your decal. So I looked at my Telly, and found that my chrome trim is lower than yours. So a decal probably won't look too good.
All of the photos I looked at show the trim down low, like mine.
Did you remove the factory trim and install your own? I see the chrome pieces are quite different.

BTW. Do you if there's a way to send private messages to other group members?

It's the same trim piece along the rocker panel and the same height but my Telly is a Nighfall version - all trim is blackout out. The chrome on your Telly "pops" out to the eye.

That was me. I painted the tips/pipe and muffler so from the back you see no chrome.View attachment 17451View attachment 17452View attachment 17453
Wanting to pi t the exhaust tips gloss black like you did……..looks great btw! Was it hard to spray paint in between the two tips ? Did you use multiple coats of clear sealer to finish?
Thanks for posting !

Saw a car in Minneapolis today that looked just like yours....including the painted exhaust...I might have to do that mod to mine

Did you ever black out your top and bottom of the grille? I did mine, I have a black car and it makes a huge difference on mine. The big silver lips are the biggest design blunder on the front end imo. I'm curious to see how it looks on with Moss.
Do you have a pic of this? Considering blacking out the top and bottom of the grille and the window wrap things. I have a black SX.
