  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just purchased a new Telluride EX and I wanted to post my experience and what I found out there and hopefully this can be helpful for someone else. In my search for a Telluride I found everywhere I went had anywhere between 5K to 12K mark up over MSRP. This isn't news to anyone who has done their homework but I did find out Courtesy Kia in Mesa had a flat $1500 mark up over MSRP on any trim level. They didn't have any in stock but I worked with Mark Delaney and he showed me what was inbound. I put down a fully refundable $1000 deposit on an inbound Black EX and waited about a month for it to come in. I had many other dealers tell me they wouldn't honor this and mark it up after the fact. I didn't pay a dime over the total out the door price that was quoted and it was a super easy experience. Also the additional dealer adds were very reasonable from what I had seen elsewhere. They add on $500 for tint, $179 for nitrogen and I think $699 for a LoJack program plus the $1500 mark up. I would say for anyone in SoCal where I was finding up to 15K mark ups it might be worth the trip.

I also did find that i25 Kia north of Denver is selling them at MSRP with no mark up and you can place your order with them for exactly what you want. They quoted me that it would take about 4 months for it to come in so if anyone is looking to do that, that is an option. I figured from what I would pay for a plane ticket, hotel, food and gas and put 900 miles on my new vehicle it wouldn't save me much with such a low mark up. Plus the EX that came in is exactly what I was looking for and the color I wanted. I hope this is helpful!

I just purchased mine on Saturday, off the lot.
I was told up front about their $3000 premium. I had heard there was a premium charge, but didn't know how much. We paid it because we really wanted the car. I felt like it was a little steep, available I was I'd be ridiculed for paying it.
Now, after reading these posts, I'm feeling pretty darn good!
